Took only two minutes to send these. Just copy and pasted open letter into e-mail then put afew lines above saying 'Do us a favour can you ask cecil these questions for us. then used Howhard Gerrards copy and paste set of address's (Thanks mate). Took literally two minutes.

I'm just waiting now for the replies. I'll be pissed off if I don't get personal replys of each one of them, seeing that I've been to all this effort ;)

Any decent journo will know how the fans feel mate. All im saying is that it will piss them off if they arrive to their inbox full of these emails and it MAY be detrimental to our relationship with them.
This will not aid in any way of getting rid of the owners.

I do hope I am wrong but this sort of thing I feel needs to be organised and we should target the banks, sponsors etc etc instead of journo's who know our plight.

I agree. What poosible good can it do to piss off the journalists? I`ve been sending emails myself to RBS and others, but this one I fear will be strategically wrong.

I agree. What poosible good can it do to piss off the journalists? I`ve been sending emails myself to RBS and others, but this one I fear will be strategically wrong.

Journalists in this country and their attitude to Liverpool FC (And most other clubs that aren't Manchester United or Chelsea) has been disgraceful. They have been complicit in seeing the sport they supposedly love be taken over by corporations and big business. They have lied and spread bollocks around at every turn. They haven't lifted a finger as more and more clubs are getting a step closer to going to the wall. They have stood idly by while the proper fans (The ones that go to the game) have been mistreated, conned and robbed at every turn by the clubs they love for simply being stupid enough to be fleeced because of the love they have for their club and the loyalty which is regularly taken advantage of. They have sat on their fat arses watching while football has turned into a carnival sideshow and they have taken their pieces of silver.

It's about time 'we' the fans. NOT Liverpool fans. But FOOTBALL Fans 'pissed off the journalists'. Made them realise that once you get a few high name casualties, then the whole crumbling ediface will collapse like a pack of cards - and their careers with them. It's time for everyone involved with football to act. It's time for the Government to act. Football is a national institution in the UK and it's fucked. Beyond fucked. We and they have a very short time left before it vanishes before our eyes like a slightly bemused dodo.

Came to this thread a bit late, but from what I've read, the real relationship trouble is not between you and your girl, but between you and a small box of Tampax. You obviously need something more substantial in your life like a huge Costco sized box of jam rags, seeing as you're such a massive fucking quim

Not sure you've got the point of this? An open letter is a letter (In this context) which has been printed in National Media sources. He will 'see it' because the Nation will have seen it. If a Newspaper (or more than one) prints all the questions - knowing that he's been avoiding them - then everyone will know the script. He will either be forced to answer the questions or he will be forced to be publically seen to be avoiding the questions.

I am contacting you firstly as a Liverpool supporter but also as a football supporter in general.

Being 26 years of age, unfortunately I cannot comment on the pre-Sky Sports era of football, an era when many of the older generations of football supporters around the country would happily tell you that football had not yet "lost its soul". I can however, say with absolute clarity, that I cannot remember a time when I was personally so disillusioned with football and specifically the current situation at my club, Liverpool Football Club.

As I look around at what is going on within the modern game I cannot help but feel deep concern. Concern for the welfare of a number of clubs in deep financial difficulties - Liverpool Football Club obviously included. Concern for the future of the game in the long term as a result. Concern over the fact that the institutions charged with ensuring the well being and integrity of the game (The Premier League, The FA, FIFA, UEFA) are seemingly happy to take a backseat while all this continues to unfold. Also, and particularly, concern for the many thousands and even millions of genuine supporters out there that are being continually fed mis-truths or even down right lied to by the very people that we should be able to trust but, as a result of the constant cloak and dagger tactics, we simply cannot.

As a Liverpool supporter this applies particularly to our own Managing Director, Christian Purslow (among others), who has simply ducked a number of legitimate questions when put to him on a number of occasions by the supporters of the club that he is there to serve. Questions that we feel he is obliged to answer.

I am writing to you therefore, in the hope that you may see fit to provide a voice to the many thousands of disillusioned Liverpool supporters (and football supporters in general) out there that are simply being ignored by the club that they love and the people that are currently running it.

It is my hope that you would make public the legitimate questions that we, the supporters, would like answered and direct them towards Mr.Purslow in the hope that he may then feel the need to answer them and to answer the supporters that provide the soul to the club that he is fortunate to serve.

You will find the list of these questions attached in the form of an open letter to Mr.Purslow.

I welcome your response to this email and would like to thank you in advance for your help in raising awareness of the concerns of the supporters of Liverpool Football Club.

Yours Sincerely,

Mark Revell
(Liverpool Supporter)

Good stuff mate.

Much better than my "Can one of you c*nts ask Cecil to answer the below please. Ta!!"
All the badge kissing in the world don't make up for the fact that they are, frankly, not Liverpool Football Club. It's not their fault. Its just how it is.

Great post mate. Exactly how I feel right now.

The fact that every person and institution with the power and ability to force change and effectively save Football from the corporate rape that it has been subjected to continually for years now is nothing short of sickening.

The Premier League, The FA, UEFA, FIFA, The government, National Journalists, Local Journalists, everyone with a love for the game, should be deeply concerned at what is happening. Not just at our club but across the football spectrum.

Personally I pray for the day the whole thing collapses and brings about an opportunity to restructure the entire game, from top to bottom, and finally rid the game of the corporate moneymen that are destroying it and hand it back to the people that will always be there - the supporters.

For what its worth, I think we as a footballing nation (as well as the rest of europe) could do a hell of a lot worse than look at the German Bundesliga as a model to aspire to.

1). Strict regulations on finance - ensuring that clubs do not spend beyond their means and break even based on their own turnover.
2). Strict regulations on foreign ownership of clubs - preventing foreign owners from obtaining any more than 49% of shares and in turn keeping the clubs in the hands of people who care about the well being of the club.

I dont need a lesson in the obvious mate.

Thats what im asking.  Do you think the letter will be published in a domain where he can see it

Done
You won't get me flicking on a (football) phone in.  I'd rather listen to a game of chess on the radio.  Phone ins are a platform for idiots.

Feel sorry for the guy who is out of the office until Monday 8th August, god help him trying to get through all of the awaiting emails!!!
On awaiting Everton's arrival for a derby game at Anfield, Shankly gave a box of toilet rolls to the doorman and said: 'Give them these when they arrive – they'll need them!'

What a legend this man is!
