In or out, it will happen on the night.

Got to get a result, because I just get the feeling, that Gerrard is starting to lose faith in Rodgers...mayby it's just me, hope so.

Funny that because I think its more likely to be the other way around mate.
We’ll still finish in top four - and they won’t. You can quote me on this in May.

Is the game live on TV? Madness by the individual channels if its not?
One of the biggest games in World Football?

Exactly. Gerrards been awful at times. He was rubbish vs Southampton on based on performance deserves to be dropped. He's my favorite player ever but i don't want him in the team if he's going to play as lazily as he has been doing. Toure played more like a captain on Saturday. When teams have been as strong as Southampton vs us over the years, you never saw Suarez play as lazily and shite as him. He keeps going, giving everything.

.............................The Fillet.................................

Kelly..............Toure............Sahko............Enrique

......................Allen...............Lucas......................

Henderson................Berto......................Sterling

...............................Suarez..................................

Our captain looked genuinely fooked at the weekend, if Allen's fit enough to start I'd get him into that midfield.

The 4 CB fiasco needs to be plonked in the bin. Let's get Kelly and Enrique in who will hopefully give us a bit of width and a platform to start our attacks from!

Enough of putting square pegs in round holes. Play the best, fit (not knackered - Ste G please knock this fucking Ingurlund shite on the head) player you have in that position!

Suarez to start.  Stevie maybe coming on later to give in maximum effort if we need a goal, as he needs to be managed a bit more I think.  We need to be calm in possession, and complete our passes.  We need to stop trying to force things.  Move into space, pass and move again, right?  Not sure if Sturridge should start either because of fitness issues.  But he should at least be on the bench.

I think his focus has been less than stellar - he's been heavily involved in international games, and then had to deal with off the field antics from crazy people in bars or turning up on the training ground. Add to that Carra has gone and Pepe has gone, and you can probably estimate his influence has changed to some extent. He's also played about 8-9 games in 5 weeks which is less than ideal.

I think we'll field a strong team. I'm hoping we'll see Enrique back, and prefer Henderson more centrally. I doubt Gerrard will be rested for a Derby game.

                   Mignolet
    Wisdom  Toure Sakho Enrique
              Gerrard Lucas
                 Henderson
         Sterling Suarez Moses

I'd love to see

               Mig
Kelly  Toure   Agger   Enrique
             Lucas
      Hendo     Allen
Sterling                  Moses
                Suarez

I think that would give us strength and composure in the back, real fullbacks, energy and composure in midfield, danger down the wings, and Suarez wreaking havoc hopefully. With Suarez playing his usual role, Hendo and Allen would have to be willing to make runs from deep, but I think that this lineup would give us a very strong chance. Sturridge and Gerrard clearly need rest, and if Allen is fit I'd be more confident with him rather than Alberto starting. They'll be very very fired up for this, and we'll have to be at our best

Leave the car at home, get the train with loads of other reds and don't show colours anywhere near the city centre, tram and snake mountain. Do that and you'll be fine.
We'll visit the Folies Bergeres,
They like to see the Scousers there,
The women are lovely with skin like a peach,
But no one can move it like Kenny Dalglish.

Just feel we need to really go for the jugular in this match, given their 4-1 loss in the derby...

A second loss to us so early in the season could really hurt them psychologically and turn the fans on Moyes...

And it would be so sweet if we could hammer a nail or two in on Wednesday night..

I don't think there is any point posting teams with our best players rested. They will all play against Manchester United - Gerrard, Sturridge, Suarez, the lot.

Agreed. It's a great chance to get the positivity back and I think we will start them and hopefully take them off to rest them if possible. I do think Gerrard needs to be managed better, just don't see it happening this match.

Or Flano - hopefully we'll see Kelly at right back, can defo see Ibe getting his chance.

Mignolet
Kelly Toure Sakho Enrique
Henderson Allen Alberto
Ibe Suarez Sterling

Bench : Jones, Ilori, Gerrard, Lucas, Moses, Sturridge, Flanagan.

Would love to see that side have a chance. You've got everything you need -

A strong, fast, high line defensive 4
3 energetic, pass and move type midfielders
2 direct and pacey wide men
1 man chomping at the bit to rip Utd a new asshole!

No. Next round yes. This, this round, this game. No.

Our best 11 should start this game. The implications of turning that shower over far outweigh the 'development' of 4 young lads who have years ahead of them.

I was originally not arsed about who we picked just as long as we win, well, I've changed - I want us to play as strong as team as we can, just as long as we win.

no point resting the big players and risking a loss just play our best team and hopefully get job done and spirits back up after saturdays performance, plus pile a bit more pressure on gollem too

I would agree with this 99% of the time as we should be trying to win every competition and certainly in normal circumstances shouldn't need much rest when we are not in Europe.

But the problem is that Lucas and Gerrard look absolutely knackered and Sturridge is still carrying an injury apparently. Playing them might cause them to drop or in the case of Sturridge pick up another injury. An injury to Sturridge right now could be a season killer.

Why does everyone think that Kelly will chucked into his first proper start in a year at Old Trafford? If he was fit then would love to see it but he's still some way off.

He really isn't - otherwise he'd be playing for the U21's tonight to get more match fitness, the fact he isn't points towards him playing some part.

Sterling played in a few of the big games last season and Kelly can't be too far away from fitness either. I feel it'll be Alberto or Aspas anyway and Aspas hasn't set the world alight. Ilori I'd like to see in a midfield role, not sure if he'll end up there and I know it's not a game to experiment but Lucas and Stevie are being ran into the ground and Allen isn't fit I don't think.

Anyone wanting, or hoping Gerrard starts in this game needs their heads and waters testing.

If Rodgers starts him, then he loses a full mark off his overall tenure score.

(he's currently on 7.5/10)

Where are the goals here:

Gerrard - Lucas
Hendo Aspas Moses

The goals are here > Suarez. His direct, and indirect involvement creates goals and space.

we have hardly been firing on all cylinders with any side put out thus far.

How's about we give something new a try.

Need to go back to 3 in the middle

Gerrard Henderson and Lucas with Gerrard the most forward
