Half time: Liverpool 0-0 Nottingham Forest
« on: April 22, 2023, 03:50:11 pm »
Haven't really got close from open play but how we haven't scored from one of our set pieces is beyond me. Forest are hopeless at defending them.

Need that first goal as soon as possible to just relax everyone.
I've just wiped the sticky residue from my bellend onto the television screen. Taste it Leo. You deserve it.

They had a back line of 7 at one point. Also Konate's probably broken the record of most time spent on the ball.

Get Thiago and Nunez on, this is the type of game they would thrive in.
Everyone knows it's Shanks, Shank is part of my name.

Nice threat from set pieces, pretty woeful threat from open play which has been a theme for 3 halves of football v these now. We'll still win, hopefully an early goal second half then they fold. Get me Darwin Nunez!

The attacking got better as we went on but there is too much lax passing.

Keep getting these scoreless games after a big win this season but we have the quality on the bench to get the goal here.

How haven’t we scored from a set piece yet? Might need to get Diaz, Nunes and Thiago in early here to try and change things up, since we don’t seem to be troubling them from open play currently.

Too easy to defend against whilst we have the ball in play at the moment - we just aren't finding those killer passes at key moments.

Set pieces have been better and look the most likely way that we'll break the deadlock.

A few tackles in that first half that should have probably seen a yellow too, I wonder if Oliver has left his cards in the changies

Over 85% possession, but lacking the killer blow from open play. Thiago on at HT as he’ll rip these lot to bits with his creativeness and will put opportunities on a plate for the front 3.

Forest continuing their extreme luck from the first game against us.

A bit pointless having Henderson and Fabinho on here. It’s an against blackline of 10 players with no interest in playing a game of football.

How did Jota miss that though.

Totally in control, Get Thiago on and we'll open them up better, Forest should tire around the hour mark.

Maybe Thiago on for Jones soon and Núñez on early second half too.

Jones is playing fairly well. We don't really need Fabinho in a game like this, especially if Trent (who's quicker anyway) is going to be occupying that space that Forest might try and counter through.

Anyway, I doubt we'll make a change until 55+.

Not great but not bad either. Unfortunately I had to listen to McManaman………listening to him you’d think Forest were the better side…….he exaggerates everything.

We just need to find a bit more space and some better passing. Maybe Thiago needs to come on.

All we can do is keep on doing what we have done and we’ll get chances.

Not terribly incisive, it's like the team is waiting for TAA to do something alll the time. Should still be ahead though, how Jota doesn't score that header is beyond me.

Henderson and Fabinho offer nothing going forward, very frustrating. Gakpo is neat and tidy, Jota most likely to score, Salah being marked by three at times.

I thought Jones has done well, particularly hustling back to help out when the ball is lost.

Konate has mo idea what to do wheh he has the ball, it's clear he's not terribly comfortable in this new role.
Beatings will continue until morale improves...
