Ray Allen 05-09

One of the greatest shooters of all time, and one of the best clutch players.

Allen and Klay will be my splash brothers.

Right apologies again all

My picks to catch up are:

Julius Erving 80-84
James Harden 16-20
Russell Westbrook 15-19

I think that's me caught up now and I think they're all still available

Now gonna pick my swingman, one of the greatest peaks for a wing in NBA history:

Tracy McGrady 01-05 (SG/SF)

2× NBA scoring champion
T-Mac was Kobe Bryant's most fear opponent (he was Kobe but longer  ;D).

Chris Webber (1999-2003)

A 6'10 dunk machine and rebounder of the year who led the most fluid passing team of their era in addition to the coolest college team ever. Would probably be an NBA champion had it not been for corrupt refereeing.

Jayson Tatum (2019-23)

A sharpshooter who just set the record for game seven points to add to his All-Star game points record, Tatum probably isn't dependable enough to be a starter here but he's a fantastic offensive option off the bench.

George Gervin (80-84)

The best scorer of the pre-Jordan decade. One of three players in NBA history (along with Jordan and Curry) to average 30 PPG and shoot 50% from the field in a season as a guard.

I need a big who can stretch the floor, plus be happy to sacrifice some of his own game for his teammates:

Kevin Love 13-17 (PF/C)

- Consistent green machine: accurate mid-range jumpshot and 3-point shooter
- Effective outlet passes: insane long passes to set up fast breaks
- Rebounding beast: strong/wide frame combined with timing and dexterous hands
- Double-double machine: record holder for longest streak of double-doubles

I will add more power and finesse in my big department with 2013 defensive player of the year, Marc Gasol 13-17 (C). His high basketball IQ, court vision, passing & efficient shooting (from FT, mid-range and 3 point line) give me an extra dynamic to the centre position (complementing the already elite inside-the-arc presence of Shaq/Giannis, with now added versatility).

2 times champion, Finals MVP, multiple all-NBA selection, great 3 point shooter, perennial first team all-defense. The perfect 3&D player, before that was a thing.

Ah, apologies if so. I was out of sync, I didn't get a heads up early on and was a couple of selections behind, so maybe I've made a pick too many in between? If anyone wanted my selection and I've jumped the gun then I'm happy to reselect, honest mistake :)

Mark Price (1989-93)

The proto-Steph Curry, a speedster who combined a great passing range with a terrific shooting ability both on the move and standing still - he led the league in free throw percentage three times and was near a 50-40-90 average with nine assists during this period.

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/v/AI9ppeDfgaQ" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="bbc_link bbc_flash_disabled new_win">https://www.youtube.com/v/AI9ppeDfgaQ</a>

Alonzo Mourning (1996-2000)

A huge defensive presence with a decent scoring rate who led the league in blocks twice during this time, the perfect alternative to the Joker at the centre position.

My floor general to lead my 2nd unit is 2004 Finals MVP, Chauncey Billups 03-07.

Clutch shooter: deadly from 3, ‘Mr Big Shot’ was the man for the big moment in the biggest games.
Playmaker: facilitated Piston’s offence, putting his teammates scoring above his own
Elite defender: a fierce strong competitor, he dominated other point guards and matched the best wings of his era.
Great fundamentals: not relying on athleticism, advanced stats highlight his all-round excellence
Leadership: winning intangibles not evident on a boxscore, Billups elevated his teammates, encouraging chemistry and balance
