I assume there is a behind the scenes reason for doing it

Wonder if there's an issue with duplicate cards or something? Maybe easier to spot dodgy cards being sold outside the ground if all new cards are white and someone's flogging a red one?

Sure it's not just on a whim anyway - well hope not!

Although there's probably some truth in the above, it could also be as simple as a new card with new chip is just being used to update the technology in the card.

In the next few years, what's to say it's not going to be used for more than just ticket purchases.

How long roughly is it taking for new cards to come in the post after ordering, and when does the confirmation email come through?

I'm having problems re-newing my dad's membership?? System must be down

I can't log in to the members area (I'm assuming coz it's expired) and I can't login to the account coz an error appears!!

yes just rang them and they said that. In the letter that came with it tho it implies the new card comes within the pack they sent. I should not be surprised tho with our club with tickets,cards etc

My brother has moved back to St Albans and is unsure where his card may have been delivered to. I hope they don't charge a tenner to send him out a fresh one.
