Care to elaborate?
Oh, I'll fuckin elaborate all right. I'm gonna elaborate one of the c*nts arse of when I can find the twat.
Been an ongoing thing really. Combi boiler started leaking water outside from the overflow pipe so called in a plumber/gas bloke who lives locally and has an advert up, and his own company. Anyway, he turns up, has a poke about and says 2tou're probably better off just getting a new boiler fitted. I can do you one for xxxx.
Yeah cheers mate. think I'll get someone else in before losing over a K on your say so when all you done was open the bottom hinged part and look inside with a torch. Twat 1.
Second plumber comes. You need a new motor for it. To tell the truth you're probably better off gettin a new boiler fitted because once they start going then you'll have to replace it anyway. Asked him to get me a price on a new motor and the twat couldnt even be arsed getting back to us. or returning any calls.
Boiler was still working anyway so not too arsed. Then the bad weather came on up here. In the middle of it, we were just going out, when we heared water start pissing everywhere from under the stairs. looked inside and a pipe was pissing water all over the place, where we had my sons chrimbo prezzies hid. Turned the mains water off. Honestly, if it had happened 30 seconds later we'd of been out the door and the place probably would have been flooded by the time we got back. So its now -5 to -10 and we've now got no central heating or hot water.
Fuck this, called the insurance as at least we'll get some twat who knows what he's doing. Surely!! How fuckin wrong. Some absolute person that I find irritating turned up, poked a torch in there and then said he hadnt worked on one of these before so wasnt sure what he was doing. I was impressed. Anyway he then said needed to call a helpline but they wouldnt answer, and then asked how would we be paying him his callout fee? cheeky twat. How i laughed as he got hoofed out the fuckin door with a "take it up with the insurance".
So back to the insurance people and a day later with no heat another guy turns up. He actually opened the system up and found the problem. A release valve was stuck shut (or something) and needed replacing. A day later he fitted the part for us and there's not been a problem since. A little bit of competence seems to go a long way.
Now the plastering twats.
Getting a cupboard knocked out to make the living room a bit bigger, and thought we'd go the whole hog as the carpets would need replacing anyway. So off she goes and its a new set of sofas, wallpaper, the whole lot. i got a new telly so wasnt that arsed.
Anyway, the electrician and joiner (who we know anyway) come in and do their stuff. New fusebox/circuits relocated/couple of extra sockets from the spark, cupboard knocked out/door moved and couple of new bits built. No problems. Good lads and the spark worked through till 8pm to get it sorted. No problems at all.
Mrs goes ahead with ordering the Sofas/carpets/decorator all in a certain timeframe based on the fact the first fuckin plasterer was meant to turn up at an agreed time.
Anyway, comes the day he's meant to turn up and nothing. Phoned him - no reply. left messages. No reply. Eventually he phoned up at 2pm and laughingly said that he couldnt make it today because he was out at the celtic rangers match yesterday and was too hungover to come. How we laughed. Anyway he comes round the next day when I'm at work. i get home and he's gone with the promise of being back tomorrow to finish off the ceiling bit and a final skim. My daft Mrs had paid him already and thats the last we've heard of/from the twat. But its in hand and I'm having the twat soon.
So searched for another plasterer. got one who came and had a look and said the job the previous one had done wasnt much kop at all. Banged on about how he gets all his work through recommendation etc, how they get a bad name from people like the previous guy. How reliable he was, how professional etc etc etc. So he was meant to come last Saturday - and would supply a joiner to board up the fireplace I'd took out. he phoned up on Fri to say his joiner couldnt make it and could we source another one. We done that, but alarm bells started ringing when he wanted it done before he got there as he "didnt like working with other tradesmen around that he didnt know". This guy come recommended by the way. Anyway, we got the joinery done that night.
That night we had an inch of snow. No sign of the twat the next morning. Gave him an hour because of the snow. then rang him to be told "Its a bit too dangerous for me to be out in this snow". An inch of fuckin snow. I'd already been out the shops and the roads were clear as fuck. "nah, i'm not gonna risk it" Explained to him about the decorater coming in, the carpets and sofas delivery dates all being dependent on the plastering being done. Best i could get from him was i'll be there first thing on monday. needless to say no show on Monday. No calls returned. he's fuckin getting it as well when i get my hands on the c*nt.
Luckily we managed to get someone who came round on monday night and done the lot for us. Him and his mate came straight from another job and got what we needed done in 4 hours. Cost a bit more than we wanted to pay, and they knew it, but it needed doing and to be perfectly honest my Mrs was running out of the fuckers to phone.
So now waiting for the plaster to dry before we can paint and decorate. the decorators doing the hallway/stairs etc now because he cant do the living room yet. Especially as it now got our old 3 seater and 2 seater in there (gettin picked up tonight), a huge 4 seater, a 3 seater, and 2 chairs, in it. Oh and a poufeee or whatever theyre called. Along with 3 rolls of underlay. We've managed to delay the carpets till Friday as the painters not gonna finish till thursday afternoon as the plaster still needs a bit more drying. Oh, and the painter started painting the hallway the wrong colour for 15 minutes till my mrs asked him what the fuck he was doing. Knowing our luck hes probably fuckin colourblind.
That elaborated enough mate :-)
