Shame Overmars and van Bronckhorst didn't play for Arsenal at the same time.  As they played for Barca and Holland together.

They could have been best buds.

The Wildcard - A Clean Slate

Did you really think it would be so easy to just pluck all your favourite partnerships in pairs? No, the last 5 rounds were simply a warm up to remind us all of some great combinations and get everyone on the same page. Our current teams will now be discarded and the draft order will be re-drawn each and every round between 1-11. Now the real challenge begins as we try to form these partnerships (and trios if you dare!) with the uncertainty as to whether we'll even be able to put all the pieces together.

Enjoy.

This is a joke. Or is it?

So now we all pick from the pool of players we now have?  And pick one player at a time?

Are we just trying to make a team or are we trying to get combinations?

If we are doing this.

Why don't we all stick to 4-4-2 / 4-2-3-1, we can allow any players who played in the same teams, plus you have to pick a RB / RW & LB / LW combo.

So we're all on the same page?

I don't do 4-2-3-1. I despise that formation. 4-4 fuckin' 2 isn't better either.

Actually I guess if we are picking one player at a time then other formations are more possible.

You can all breathe a sigh of relief. There is no secret headfuck round. Anyone who quoted my post might've seen a secret message at the end  ;)  It would've been fun in a way, but fuck me drawing a new draft order every round would be a logitical nightmare!

Please post your completed teams in here in the following format - All players picked together must either be wearing the same coloured shirt as their team OR have the abbreviated team name in brackets after each name. Any other forms will not be accepted. I'll do mine in a bit as an example.

Spoiler
Sorry.

Hard to pick a favourite, I really like Betty Blue's, Tubby's, JSteve's and Lastrador's. Not seen enough of some of the players to pass comment on other teams.

All the teams with big names, but lots of cheese.

I really like Lawnmowermans & SPS.  Genuine duos and partnerships from 1 - 11.

Missing formations from Vishwa, El Lobo, and Greatness. We're doing straight knock-outs, so rather than giving someone a bye I thought we could create Rysoph a team from the leftover unpicked duos. Actually quite a lot of quality left too, so shouldn't be too hard.

Banks

Bergomi Moore Charlton Brehme

Mendieta Sousa Deschamps Kily

Tevez Rooney/Suarez Forlan

?

Not sure if Sousa/Deschamps can be classed as a partnership though. Or if Bergomi/Brehme can really.
We have to change from doubter to believer. Now.

If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.
