And he's apparently done something like that with Salzburg.

Anyway - let's enjoy him while he's here.

And it's for exactly this reason that we have to stand firm against the bullies whe they come sniffing. We need to work on our own self-worth clearly.
Sadio ain't going nowhere. Tie him down for another 5 years.

FFS, you don't hear the supporters of the supposed footballing"giants" cacking it when one of their players has a good season, saying . " oh shite. Messi' s scored 30 this season. That big bad wolf Liverpool will come and take him from us.

Food chain. We can thump our chests, hold up 5 fingers and all the rest, but we don't dine  at the top table and haven't for a long time. Klopp gives us a good chance of getting back to the top table but we aren't there currently.

And that's why you have to hold up five fingers with one hand and give them two with the other. Actually, we are at the top table ,and we always will be,regardless of the last 20-odd years.

Imagine telling Shanks that we're not at the top table!!!

I've not seen anything so possibly, probably should wait and see if he trains tomorrow.

I have a bad feeling that Mané would be the next Coutinho...Let's face it, the big club will eventually come to him, and if we don't start winning trophy it is hard to keep the best player..
Agree, he's that good, but without players like that we won't get any trophies. It's good to have sought-after players. With only shite players the transfer windows were calmer, but I think the Coutinho drama is a small price to pay for having that level of talent.

Lovely player and he's really stepping up but can the pussies of RAWK stop shitting themselves about whether some other team might want to buy him? It's fucking annoying.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

I love him.

He's an absolute star, right up there with the best in this league.  Keep him fit and I see no reason why he can't and won't score at least 20 goals.

Alexis scored 23 from wide-forward position, Mane will do the same this season.

People who cry over a lack of no.9 to get us 20+ goals are prisoners of conventional wisdom that it has to be a central striker. It doesn't, Mane is getting 20+ this season.

Was thinknig maybe he wasn't feeling 100% today and was annoyed to have played 90mins. Or maybe that's just how he always looks at FT.

Without Coutinho or Lallana on the pitch, we more or less go to him to make us tick. In the final third right now, he's dictating a lot of our play. Much more than a winger and a goalscorer right now. Top player.

Easily in the top 5 best players in this league.

On his day he's a force of nature.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him eventually  get into being a 20-30 goals a season type forward now to his late 20's.

Wasn't having the best of times today, seemed a bit sloppy but his intent and desire was always there. Improved a bit later in the second half around the time Salah came on.

Even in an 'off' day he's capable of being the game changer

The change is cast

We need to give him more players near his level, not break his back with the burden. It's the kind of game every single star player we've had from the mid 90s onwards has experienced. The profile of game where, even when not at his brilliant best, his own star quality gets starkly highlighted, where he starts getting the sensation that he's better than the other 9 outfield teammates put together; a sequence of these games, a season, maybe two, and he's looking elsewhere, higher.

Now imagine if he has such a game, next game, the guy on the other wing, Salah outdoes him. The game after, he's rested, Lucas Moura (a guy can dream) comes in, and hits the winner. That's the environment you need to create for trophies and just as importantly, to keep your star players grounded, tethered, here.

I've seen Owen, Gerrard, Torres, Suarez all have these games. The only one who stayed was the only one who had a reason to off the pitch.
