We are doing the same, get to Barca for 930, training it down too.. Any idea of how much round trip will be on train struggling to find prices?

Bit of a ballache having to get the train from the airport to the main station in Barca.. Were lucky with the train lines running through the airports etc

We are flying in weds night, leaving Barca Sants (central) at 9:27am on thursday, I got a return coming back Friday morning for £40, that's in advance though. through renfe.com, takes about 2hrs 30mins

8 of us arrive Alicante Wednesday 11-00am mini bus to Castellon should be there from about 2, booked hotel with pool but weather forecast doesn't look as good by Thursday,have one on standby in centre of town....

Got there at 1:30 expecting a queue. It was minimal. 3 minutes wait maybe. All windows open. Stewards on hand to control and direct. Ticket found within about 20 seconds. Booking fee refunded without asking.

Couldn't fault at all. That's why the Dortmund mess annoys me even more. It only had 1000-1500 more tickets yet it was chaos.

Hotel Port Azahar for me, on the marina in Castellon. Booking.com said plenty of pubs / cafes around the front. Saw that Hotel Bag but decided to stay on the waterfront.

All sorted another long way around trying to find the best price flights.  Wednesday Dubai - London heathrow on Qantas, then BA Gatwick - Barcelona arrive 1430 meet up with the bagman few jars in town then Train to Castellon I think 17-30.  Then to what ever hotel in Castellon has been decide on arrive about 8-30pm. Meet all the boys On the lash all night. Game Thursday then Friday 0717 Castellon - Madrid (not looking forward to early start). Pegasus air 1415 Madrid-Istanbul-Dubai Saturday morning arrive 0330hrs.   

 Qatarairways Return weds May 4th Dubai - London , then train up to Liverpool on Thursday morning for the semi 2nd leg, return dubai Saturday May 7th.  Chester races on the Friday 6th hopefully still celebrating

Staying at hotel Alba in Valencia. Arrive into Alicante from Luton Thursday morning then 4 of us driving up. Early flight back next day. Gutted weather is looking shite but won't matter when on the beers!
