At least this might put to bed the ridiculous debate of whether Rooney is even close to him. That's not a slight on Rooney either.

To be fair, Barça's style of football and players around him allow him to shine.
Exactly. They have done it on home grown players and their average age is about the same as Arsenal's and they are years ahead in every aspect of the game.

Barcelona over the last 2 years has just taken Wenger's philosophy and accomplishment and raped them. There's no other way to put it.

Wenger had nothing to do with it.  More like a certain Johan Cruyff.

That bit earlier when he went past Vermalen and put it through Sagna's legs, Varmalen was huffing and puffing and Messi just looked so relaxed. Amazing.

Messi.  What can I say that hasn't already been said.  Absolutely sensational.

Oh and take note members of the Roooooooooooonnnnnneyyyyyyyyyyy fan club.  The fat prick isn't a patch on this guy.  Not a patch.
Quote from: Dion Fanning

The chants for Kenny Dalglish that were heard again on Wednesday do not necessarily mean that the fans see him as the saviour. This is not Newcastle, longing for the return of Kevin Keegan. Simply, Dalglish represents everything Hodgson is not and, in fairness, everything Hodgson could or would not hope to be.

On another night, in a team without Messi, everyone would be salvating over Xavi's performance tonight. Can't really take any of the light off that guy though.

According to Uefa stats, at least 95 successful passes from Xavi tonight.
95. In a 90 minute game. That almost defies logic.
And at the Emirates? 95 successful passes. They guy is like clockwork.

And it allows me to post a link to the most hilarious Daily Fail headline of all time (and that's strong competition)
