Why the f**k are so many people wanting Stevie to get a medal?

He will be absolutely buzzing that we're Champions and the character of the man would absolutely hate the "pity" everyone's showing towards him.  His personal pride would NEVER want that kind of charity.

He is, was and always will be one of our greatest ever players.  He won his fair share of trophies and of course he would have loved to be part of this team but he isn't and he will be perfectly fine with missing out.

When you look at our history, the 1890's (8 years), 1930's, 1950's and 2000's are the only decades we didn't win the league.

It's honestly staggering.  Other than being relegated, the 90s was probably about our worst period in living memory, but still had a title, FA Cup and League Cup. The 2010s were on course to beat that until we added the CL to our League Cup under Kenny, but we still made a hatful of finals in that decade and had a cracking title challenge.  Not so many comparable memorable moments from the 1990s.

In the past 20 years, we've managed a treble, 2 CLs and a title, to say nothing about an the assortment of other trophies we've picked up along the way. It's a reminder that many other clubs would kill to have what for us has been a lean period.

How shit is that Even my 9 yr old had a league cup and a CL win before this season.

And yet plenty of Blueshite have said that despite accruing fewer titles, Everton's record is actually better than ours because it's more spread out than ours and we are Johnny come latelys and crammed virtually everything into the 70s and 80s.

Since my Dad passed away four years ago I have found life very hard going. Bouts of utter despair, thoughts of ending my life, where living seemed a chore. Life seemed something to be endured and not enjoyed. I'm in a good place now but always wary of dark clouds re appearing. What Liverpool winning the league has confirmed is that life is worth living. That good things and the seemingly unexpected can happen. I'm so glad I hung in there during the dark times. Otherwise I would never have experienced the elation of my beloved Liverpool winning the league. Whilst winning the Champions League was special the League Title was the holy grail. The ultimate prize and here we are.

I was just thinking about how Trent has got the two biggest medals already at 21. Ox has also got a pretty impressive collection when you add in the three FA Cup wins with Arsenal. Do we have anyone else quietly racking up an impressive collection? Milner goes without saying of course. Fabinho has now won the league in two countries I think.
