Was Enrique's fault for allowing the cross in the first place, Sagna should never of had that much time and space.

Nope carra needs to deal with the ball, enrique was marking someone in the box he came and didn't get close enough but carra got wrong side and was grabbing van persie.

Great performance in that half. No complaints really except the cheap goal we conceded.

yes that^^

definite pen , it doens't even have to be contact - if the keeper sweeping in stops suarez controlling the ball (LS had taken it past the GK easily), then it is a pen ( i remmeber SG having a similar 'no contact' pen years back - sheff utd?)

Coates won the copa america (south american equivalent of european championships) last year and got young player of the tournament. Hes got experience.

Oh I give up. If awards from other countries and competitions counts as starting in front of Carra in an important, big match wearing an LFC shirt in the premier league then there's no helping you.

Which massive game has he played in the premier league again? Please enlighten me on why you have such faith in someone relatively untested in our squad.

How is he going to become tested in the PL if we keep playing fucking Carra ahead of him based on nothing but reputation.
When discussing Dirk Kuyt's work rate :

I don't think he works as hard as some people claim. No harder, for example, than Stewart Downing.

18 League Titles and 5 European Cups. Get counting.

the thing about suarez' poor conversion rate is that almost all of his chances are entirely self-generated, I'd wager my roll that he'd be in rarified air if he had someone around him feeding him chances instead of him having to dribble around 5 players until he's too off balance to get a reasonable shot off

Rather Carra than Coates in a game like this. If you think Coates has the experience to deal with Arsenal then I'm even more glad it's Kenny and not a clown like you in charge.

Coates would have a far better choice imo. Dont think he would have just let RVP get in front of him and make a run to front post as a cross came in and wouldn't have hoofed it as much as Carra has.

Uh yes. How often has Coates put on the Liverpool shirt again? And how many times against a big side? He's made some glaring, immature errors that any young defender does early in his career. Put him on and you would be crucifying him for those right now.
Play Coates and he is learning.

Carra is just not up to it anymore.
Why are you looking past this season?

At some point, luck has to come to us.
Unbelievably,we have been unlucky for the past 7 months.

Its not about 'luck' anymore ..... work needs to be done on the training pitch or someone needed to be signed in Jan. So far looking like whatever we doing in training hasnt been working in the former, and we havent done the latter.

We have players that cant score. Simple.

Has Steven Gerrard scored a goal even more important than the one he got against Olympiakos - Is this the start of something BIG?

So you would rather Kevin Davies play for us than Messi then yes, seeing as Messi hasnt played in the PL, so everything else doesnt matter.

Negatives
Carrgher was a legend but is now a 2nd string defender (of quality).
Why the hell can we never score from corners?
Once again a man of the match preformance from their keeper!
Why can't we put the ball inside the posts?

Positives
Our passing. we have just been so precise today.
Everybody seems to be contributing.
If we can keep the same moment it is bound to happen for us.
Suarez as a lone striker, he is going to be something (as if we didn't know)
Spearing is a very close 2nd to Lucas.

Why do people want to take off Kuyt?  He's the reason we have so much movement in the final third.  Luis is always on the go, but Kuyt over Carroll makes all the difference in the world.

Bellamy for Adam.  Put Henderson in the middle for 20 minutes, and if that doesn't work try Shelvey.

When Messi's played somewhat poorly for us previously for a couple of matches and Davies has given us over a decade of service, sure.

Will be gutted if we don't win. Excellent first half bar the woodwork and shoddy defending.

Arsenal will be up for it second half, if we can carry on pressuring them we'll win this.
Indeed.

we need to press and press these fools. pressure will make and break, but if Craig Douglas Bellamy comes in at the right time. They'll suffer

We have been fucking outstanding this match, absolutely sensational. Arsenal have had one chance, and they scored because Carra decided to use his experience and just grab hold of RVP and ignore the ball.
