He's brilliant

Agree with the shouts to give him the 7 shirt, he should have had it as soon as Suarez went
Yep give it to the kid. You are good enough you are old enough besides he doesn't strike me as a guy that feels pressure. His finish today was boss shades a young Michael Owen

£60m at least

He'll be worth at least that as a here-and-now player in a couple of years, and given his age he has plenty of time to spend at the top

He's an insanely good player without even considering his age
Has he signed a contract extension yet? With Madrid sniffing around, I hope the club makes sure there is no buy-out clause, or if there is one it is a fuck-you £150m and we'll let you sniff his undies but he's still going nowhere.

His potential is frightening. But he isn't just a prospect anymore, he's delivering the goods. He's unplayable at times.

Always was. Better shots on target% than virtually everyone in the league last year and shots per goal was the same level as Aguero, Sturridge and Suarez. And better than Hazard. And twice as good (5spg vs 10spg) as Mirallas and Navas etc.

His only issue was the he took less shots.

Want him shooting on sight from now on.

None of his finishes were anywhere near as clinical as the two today though.

Genuinely wouldn't want to sell him for that unless next season completely derails his development. There's no telling how good he could become

Can anyone tell me where I can get a price for Raheem to be young player of the season?

Was googling the other day to back it but couldn't find it, or is such odds even available.

His overall game has obviously improved and he's getting better at distributing, timing his runs and actions and all that but what I think is most impressive is the improvements in his finishings. He seems to have a lot better shot in him than just few months ago. He's got a much more composure in front of the goal and he's doing very well in scoring with different types of shots in various situations and positions.

Hugely impressive. Can't wait to watch him more over the corse of the season!

Do you remember when people wanted to send him on loan to a lower-table side to gain some experience? Haha, unbelievable. The kid is an incredible talent.

Hmm, maybe he understands that he has it within his potential to become one of the best players in the world.

And what better time to start than to replace Suarez.

The only player to record underlying shots, key pass etc stats at his level at 19 since they started keeping numbers is Ronaldo

well he's english, not south-american who always dreamed to play for real/barca...and we are not spurs to let british players go to spain. He's here to win titles, and we can offer 200k+ wages if he deserves it

If he starts consistently caressing those in then we have even more of a player on our hands than I thought. Coutinho needs to have a look and see how he didn't need to take the leather off the ball to beat the keeper.

Wouldn't swap him for any other young player in the world. Think he was our best player for the last 2/3 months of last season and by the looks of things his upward trajectory will only continue.
Will be interesting to see if he's used as a striker alongside sturridge at all this season. He's already shown he's our best number 10, winger, even right back.
So so excited to watch him develop.

IMO, the only player in world football that he definitely won't be as good as, is Messi. And, most likely, Ronaldo. Otherwise, he can be as good as he wants. And he could be our best player for years to come.

If he and Coutinho - who also seems to have stepped up in pre-season - can stay fit for a whole season, it could replace most of the loss of Suarez.

I wonder, though, of the extent to which the superior finishing of Sterling and Henderson is due to the reduced pressure of a friendly?

Exactly. Before he was having to pause and wait for someone to get in support there. If he can start popping the ball in from those positions, defenders will struggle to deal with him.

Is it possible that Rodgers has been trying to get the young players to finish with more composure and confidence after the departure of Suarez. Henderson was abnormally calm with his finish?
