Anyone got idea how long they're likely to keep us in for, bearing in mind there's going to be 9,000 of us?

Saw that on Twitter last night, I've not been sent it either!
Rafa Benitez: "I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool. I have no words to thank you enough for all these years and I am very proud to say that I was your manager. Thank you so much once more and always remember: You'll never walk alone."

I assume there is a big chance of a lock in after? Driving up for this and need somewhere to park. Never been to the Old Trafford.

If you drive down Washway Road, coming from the Sale direction, about half a mile or so before the gound  take one of the left turns into business/housing estates. Theres normally a load of lads in high vis jackets parking cars, they have a wooden sign on the Washway sayin 'match day parkin this way'.   Typically costs a fiver and your cars are safe iin my experience. The walk to the ground is between five and ten minutes and you'll pass a couple of burger vans on the way.

They come down the m602, go through salford, over the quays, then to old trafford.

Not sure whether to get Barnes as we usually do or get the train to this - is the atmosphere generally good on the trains on the way? I'm assuming their fairly strict on booze?

Rossiter absolutely bossed it tonight. Really believe he'll end up playing more games this season than Lucas.

Hi guys, I have a couple of questions. I managed to get the tickets for the game next weekend and I am coming to London from Zagreb. What is the best way to travel from London to Manchester on game day? I am returning back to London on the same day. I looked up the train tickets but the cheapest is £40. Is there anything cheaper?

Megabus run services at roughly the times your looking for and are cheap (£25 return), but it would take longer than the train, and there would be traffic getting a bus into manchester on match day.

Thank you very much. So the cheapest train return ticket is about £80 per person?

If you're coming all that way, bite the bullet and get the train.....

I suppose it depends how much you value your time but the train is just over 2 hours and takes you straight to Piccadilly where you can jump on the tram to the ground.  I'm guessing you'll add a lot of travel hours to your day by taking a bus.

Sunday service. First train is 08:10 from Euston. Get to Manchester Picadilly for 10:55.

How many people are travelling? If 2 adults, take 2 photographs and get a 2 Together railcard. You'd save a third off the price. The railcard would cost £30, takes <10 minutes to complete.

Without the railcard it would be £79.70 x 2 = £159.40
With railcard £52.60 x 2 + £30 (railcard) = £135.20

It will take forever to walk!

Get a tram from victoria to old trafford or salford quay salford quay is less busy, and its a 10 minute walk from them.
No time for caution.

It's shite mate. We often get the train into Victoria and then have a few in the spoons in the printworks. But last season one of our lads got a hiding in the toilet there, so not sure whether to bother again...
