For me the best 90's dance tunes where at the start of that decade with groups like Altern 8, Dream frequency, 808 state, Terrorize, Bizzare Inc, K-Klass, FPI Project and The Prodigy. And with DJ's like Micky Finn, Ellis Dee, Matt Bell, Easygroove, Joey Beltram, DJ Nipper, DJ Welly, DJ XTC, Daz Willott, DJ Seduction, Stu Allan, Carl Cox, Grooverider, Sasha, Top Buzz and Slipmatt & Lime aka SL2.

Dance music became too commercial for me and imo was crap after 1996, although I do think it made a bit of a come back in 1999 with some very nice trance tunes.

 ;D  ahhhh Stu Allen.

Used to love listening to him on a sunday on a 'come down'  :-[  on key 103.
Thing is though could never really get a good reception straight away...I would be there in my bedroom with broken coathangers etc to try and get a good signal  ;D  always managed it somehow...was a major mission 8)

I would tape his shows aswell sometimes.

Loved to see him play at Bowlers (Life) Really a bouncy type of DJ.

Aaaahhhh yes Stu Allan on Move '92 Picadilly key 103 on a Sunday night, those where the days. He used to do a house hour first and then he'd do a Hardcore set later. He'd also come out with stuff like "Deary, deary" and "Yes indeedy".

I used to go to Bowlers aswell on the 'Pull yeah face' nights back in '94 & '95. Back when DJ Welly, DJ Nipper and Bowa & Waddiker used to be residents.

yeah me too.  We would take a spare set of clothing and toothbrush etc. and leave them in the car on the off chance we would be invited back to a party. (which would usually happen)  we would just be right cheeky monkeys and help our selves to whoevers bathroom for a wash an what not  ;D they really wouldn't mind and usually didnt know them but felt like we did as we had bent eachothers ears off gassing in the carpark for like an hour before moving anywhere  :D
Would feel like a new person and be ready for round 2  ;)

*sigh* would love to do it again.

Glad I did.

Aaaahhh yes the legendary after-club partys. They where nearly as good the club itself. Every would hang around the car park after or we'd head off to either Charnock richard or Birchwood(I think) services to decide whos house we would be going back to. Then everyone would jump into whatever car they could get into and follow the convoy.

What used to make me laugh was when you'd come out the club someone would have their tunes blasting in the car park or at the service station with about 5 or 6 people of their rockers dancin round it.

I used to go to the Zone in Blackpool, the Empire in Morecombe, Angels in Burnley and The Park in Chorley. Oh not to mention Club Kinetic from time to time aswell.

Dream frequency where the best dance group of the 90's imo, with tunes like :

Take me
You make me feel so real
Goodtimes

Bizzare Inc, Terrorize, Altern8, FPI Project and The Prodigy weren't bad either.
