The Football Association has confirmed it is discussing which FA Cup fourth round tie will be shown on BBC television in the 1900 GMT Sunday slot. The plum tie of the round, a repeat of last year's final, Arsenal v Liverpool, was due to be screened in the prime-time slot on 27 January. But reports in the Evening Standard newspaper said the game's kick-off time would be brought forward because of police fears over crowd trouble. "We have an agreement that we don't do 1900 GMT kick-offs on a Sunday Metropolitan Police spokesman "The FA's official website claimed that all parties were currently in talks to resolve the matter. The Metropolitan Police has a policy of preventing London clubs from staging Sunday evening games because of the likelihood that supporters would start drinking at lunchtime. "We have been in discussions with the FA which knows that we can do 1200 GMT, 1400 GMT or 1600 GMT instead," a police spokesman said. The police are particularly concerned because the draw means there could be as many as six ties in London over the fourth round weekend. "There are a lot of complex issues to be sorted out because there could be so many teams in London on the same day," the spokesman added.
