nice OP K-Lo,
we must win of course, and don't see any reason why we wouldn't. expect Jones to continue the big improvement, hes full of the confidence that drives him. Hopefully Nunez will fire at least one in..

with the absence of our most reliable scorer and creators in Salah and Trent, it's a big opportunity for Nunez to take on responsibility - we're probably not going to create as much as we usually would, so him having a Newcastle away kind of performance would be extremely timely (and a great way for him to kick off a new run of games, with the thought/worry of his scoring record erased from the back of his mind)

Absolutely,
If he and Curtis have a good game, could be a very positive outcome..

Counter-pressing is still the best chance creator.

If we execute it anywhere near the level of Utd and Newcastle home games Trent and Mo won't be terribly missed.

Jones, Jota and Mac will do their thing pressing wise, we'll need a little bit more in that sense from Cody, Darwin and Harvey to put real pressure on them.

And i think keep it tight at the back. A series or 1-0 or 2-0 wins would donus the power of good.

Sounds like they have a few defenders missing through suspension, injury and AFCON. Feels like the sort of game and conditions where scoring first and then trying to just keep them at arms length would be good. As great as we’ve been at turning around games, don’t want to have to go through that again in this one.

The wind was apparently 18 mph in the Cup.

50mph seems a little excessive for a game of football ;D
And if the rain stops, and everything's dry.. she would cry, just so I could drink tears from her eyes.

Grav, Gakpo or Elliott instead of Dom

Has to be between Gravenberch and Elliot, one subbing on for the other in the second half. The Gakpo in midfield thing just ain't working right now.

I would assume not given they're aware of the forecast and so far as I'm aware there's no suggestion that it could be.

Hooper is the ref on Wednesday as well.

You'd think the PL/Football League would exercise a bit of intelligence and keep certain refs away from certain matches for a while but clearly not.

Lloyd Kelly (could be back)
Tyler Adams
Ryan Fredericks
Adam Smith
Milos Kerkez
Marcos Senesi suspended,
Dango Ouattara and Antoine Semenyo are away on international duty.

I wonder if this is a game we see Nunez on the left and Diaz on the right. Jota over Gakpo in the middle you imagine.

Also the third midfield slot is open between Grav and Elliot. My guess would be Grav starts and Elliot offers an option off the bench.

Defense picks itself if there are no injuries - Bradley, Konate, Van Djik, and Gomez.

If we are clicking, we should have enough to win this. But it's definitely going to be a long slog. Mac and Jones will be key to ensure we don't concede in transitions.

And how often have a makeshift defence or 3rd choice keeper come in against us and had a world class performance?

add a keeper and ask Robbo to cover CB and I reckon this side would win a fair few league/FA cup ties!
So:
                               Alisson

100% agree in terms of my preference (although maybe Nunez initially on the left - although either way, they'll be fluid)

narrowest choice for me was Grav/Elliot, but I think holding ELliot back allows us more options to finish the game almost as strongly as we start it.means we have a potential 5th senior option from the bench (joining Gakpo) for the forward spots

would love if we can get ourselves into a position to be able to play Gordon or one of the mids for 10 mins at the end, but that'll come in the next few home games if not

Are those game being called off due to a frozen pitch and a lack of undersoil heating? That wouldn't be a problem for a PL stadium.

I think only way game gets called off is if it’s dangerous for fans to travel to the ground in those windy conditions.

Those are some big misses for Bournemouth so we can't just say it's us missing players. Maybe with Salah missing they play a bit more open at the back too, if we can play here as we did in the 2nd half against Fulham lots of chances should come. I think the best bet is Diaz on the right, Nunez left and Jota through the middle, with Gakpo coming on later to open things up a bit. Seem to remember him having an absolute stinker there in the 1-0 defeat last year.

I’d go with Grav then bring Elliott on around 60m

Me too Elliott is very effective when opposition midfield tires brings that drive off the bench. Less  effective when he starts. Though I don't totally trust gravenberch off the ball work yet.

I agree with this, Elliott and Gapko are making a big impact off the bench, they are a good option to give us that boost of energy and urgency when needed
