Looked like one of those relegation teams playing for a replay that half. Still 0-0 and the chance of a smash and grab is still there

The absolute arrogance going to Emirates with Gakpo playing in midfield, the lad barely runs and there's like 0 intensity to his pressing game.

And sorry but that's a horrible game management from Klopp and co, we haven't changed a thing since the 1st minute when it was clear this setup won't work. Lucky we're not 3 goals down, some absolute shite performances out there.

Also, has anyone ever seen Nunez winning a header?

He shouldn’t have started in our midfield but he did create our best chance, probably should have start from the left.

Very even poor game.

Soccer - let's face it, its not really about a game of ball anymore is it?

Not sure how we aren’t losing.

We have no midfield and obviously missing our big players.

Not much on the bench either so not sure how this is going to change

Somehow managed to survive the half. Macca very rusty and struggling against their press, the forwards really struggling with their hold up play. Would much rather see Elliott in midfield with Gakpo in the front three.

Second best throughout. Luckily Arsenal can’t finish to save their lives.

Hopefully we step it up significantly.

We've been outplayed all over the park. It looks as though it's going to be a real slog up top without Salah for the next month.

It's one game, it doesn't mean that at all.

Haha I was saying Klopp went unnecessarily strong but it’s been good to see how the team would fair without Salah and this has been so poor I hope Klopp doesn’t ever choose this line up in the league.

Gakpo is not a CM and we lack a lot of pace. We prob need Grav in there. Elliot I don’t think is a RW in a game like this. Where we have most of the ball against packed defences he can be. Jota right, Nunez ST, Diaz left should the front three.

Prob Mac, Jones and Grav midfield.

When is Robertson back?

The game is there to be won.

For all of Arsenal's shots, they've mostly just been via our own making. There is also plenty of space for us on the break if we play the ball quicker.

They've pressed a lot harder which should tire them.

Would love to know what chances Shearer thinks Arsenal should have scored that would have put them 5-0 up the sausage.
And if the rain stops, and everything's dry.. she would cry, just so I could drink tears from her eyes.

I thought our build up play was pretty good at times and we created good moments but lacked the incisiveness in the final third. Didn’t like us needlessly giving away the ball in dangerous situations.

Getting boxed in too easily. You don't always realise what you've got with Mo. As well as being incredibly productive he's just such a good outlet to aim for. Plus, we're missing Van Dijk's ability with the ball.

I know they are pressing high but we are giving them too many opportunities to win the ball back in our own half with not shielding the ball properly

Majority of their chances all came from us losing the ball or giving it away. Thank the lord they can't finish

Trying to work out whose playing centrally either Elliot or Gakpo, either way we look very light in there at times. Can only get better from here from us

Arsenal have pressed really well especially down our left, Quansah and Gomez is obviously a week point fir us.
Thankfully they have Haverz playing for them, Gakpo looks lost in midfield.
Hopefully we've weathered the storm, com on Redmen.

My main thought is what Klopp does after the 70th. Does he bring on kids or do 9 of these guys play 90 mins.

Should be 2-1 down if Havertz knew how to shoot. Gakpo is midfield is not very nice we dont have too many options.

We miss Endo. Half pace without him. Macca still rusty and we just dont have an out ball so often when playing out. Hopefully half time addresses this. Was absolutely shitting myself when Quansah went down clutching his leg. Really hope we get another option in just in case during the window.

Arsenal have dominated the midfield with Rice, Jorginho and Odergaard.  Harvey and Curtis have both had some good moments but overall I don't think they've helped Macca enough.

I think we've really missed the range of passing that Virgil brings.  Once Arsenal get the squeeze on our two central defenders are passing into blind alleys whereas Virgil has that booming crossfield pass off each foot to fall back on.

I don't know if it's just because I'm obviously biased towards us but Arsenal seem one of the snidest teams around.  They go looking for contact and when they find it make the most of it.  The ref hasn't fallen for it all the time but they've still had half a dozen really soft free-kicks.

Give credit to Arsenal, they have been closing us down really well. We need someone to put their foot on the ball and string some forward passes together. Do that a couple of times and they will start backing off. I thought the game was played at a very fast pace and some of our players are struggling with it. Good game of cat and mouse - with us looking to hit them on the counter which almost resulted in another worldie from Trent.
