Excellent except finishing in front of goal.

Nunez unless he has no time to think, is not good at chances when he has time to make a decision.

Mo, has to change his penalty routine.

Szobozslai is inconsistent during a game with his decision making.

I can't fathom how Nunez's ability to finish hasn't improved one iota since the day he arrived. What is he training then?
Yeah that continues to be a concern, and anytime he scores it feels like he's turned a corner, but then he misses some unbelievable chances moments later.

Not sure why Nunez is getting quite so much stick for not scoring there. I think the failure was not laying it off to Salah rather than missing the not-as-easy-as-it-looked goal.

Despite the wasteful attacks, Liverpool’s general play has been excellent at times. Really impressive press, regains etc.

The score line clouds things a bit.

Yep our play has been really good. But im worried the attackers will drag the rest of the side down to their level.

I agree, I think this has been encouraging and with a better bench we could win it from there.

We need to calm down, there is another half to go we have a better bench than they do. It will come.
Absolutely, getting way to focused on Taylor.
He should of booked Joelinton but nothing to mayor other than that. Honestly feel the cowd is winding the players up.

Gary Neville is an absolute rat shit. had to switch over to Optus for different comms.

"I bet Liverpool fans aren't booing VAR now."

VAR didn't do shit, the linesman called the offside first, you ugly little gobshite.

I switched from Optus because I was sick of Martin Tyler and his little digs, but you do have a point about Neville - why do they put him on the Liverpool games? Just do your job and commentate on the game rather than making petty childish comments.

Very frustrating but think these will tire out in the second half. Just need to stay composed and keep at them.

What is Neville on about saying Diaz delayed going down?? He didn’t even get another stride in. Biased c*nt.

He’s been diabolical on comms today said Trent snapped when he got a yellow for gently kicking the ball away, Taylor has been shocking after a decent stsrt

Why are we giving the ref a pass because we could not finish. 2 separate issues. Newcastle could be down to 10 now if Taylor follows the law and book Joelinton for 2 deliberate professional fouls. Salah needs to slow down, feels like he is trying to rush things. Nunez should score but then again he is about the only one that could get to that chance. Their keeper closed the angle really fast as well.

Great counter pressing and we've suffocated them but we've gone to shit in the peno box. Can't keep wasting so many chances.

Think we have to stop getting involved in incidents with the ref, nothing major has gone against us so far and its taking the focus away from what we need to do.

Get some composure and finish these chances!

Just need to drag ourselves out the shitfest we've been drawn into. Subs win this.

Yep, they look totally spent with a shit bench whereas we've got a great one, expecting us to win here. Harvey and Diogo will defo get things done if the 1st 11 don't.

Sky with a slow-mo frame by frame analysis of the tackle on Diaz for the pen. Neville calling it a dive. Absolutely sick to fucking death of the shock jocks and narrative merchants that plague the game

They prey on the same twits that voted for Brexit. People who have a Sky subs are part of the problem though.

Must have watched a different game regarding Diaz

Diaz has been by far the best attacker, although he isn't without his own poor decision making in the second half of the half (much like all our attack). Also don't think the attack was that bad before the 25 minute mark - Nunez should have scor d the one on one and Salah the pen but otherwise I think they were working well just unfortunate with the tight offside and decent saves.

The team as a whole just need to calm down and re-introducd the domination of the first part of the half

18-1 shots. don't remember theirs.

Surely we must grab a couple. WHO i mean literally id like a name WHO names Taylor ref and Tierney VAR. Taylor gave us the pen because he couldn't not and then even Tierney after 10 mins couldnt find a way to rule it out, bad luck for the refs. Other than that they are in great form, Taylor with his classic play ons and non call and blow ups and dissent yellows like an orchestra conductor that guy.

13 on 11 but we'll have them anyway np

We like making it hard for ourselves eh! We’ve played well on the whole, lost our head a bit with some infuriating decisions towards end of half.

Keep up the tempo and goal will come, that’s big difference between this and Utd game - we’re playing with far more intent and higher tempo in this game.

I’d get Elliott on, calm head in final 3rd who always makes a good decision. Dom is stinking place out at moment.

One of Diaz’s better games for a while, shame his goal won’t stand would have done him world of good.

The man on coms said he didn't get booked because we didn't loose the advantage but seems to forget we lost an advantage with them taking an attacking player, Sobozlai, out of the game. They're making the rules up as they go along. Shambollocks!!!

Our penalty was a cast-iron one. I’m not sure how Neville expects Diaz to stay on his feet when his left foot is taken away from him……plus there was no delay when he went down. His left foot taken away which means he lands on the edge of his right foot and loses his footing. Of course Neville claims it was a dive yet says nothing about the three or four dives from Newcastle players.

Diaz needed to step on the defenders ankle then fall over squealing for it to be a genuine penalty
