Good tactical battle. Kuyt great defending, weak going forward.

Walker's a player. Keeping Bellamy quiet.

Muppets on my stream (some Asian stream on an ESPN affiliate) talking about how poor Carroll has been.  He's actually been pretty decent, for me.

Then he just said that he hopes "Spurs bring Gareth Bale on."  So, it's clear he's an idiot.

Carroll has been playing well once again but he doesn't have enough support. Gerrard has been brilliant and is the only one in the center that's making things happen. Kuyt has been shit and has not done anything at all. Johnson's been brilliant as well and I have like matchup of him vs. Walker. Agger/Skrtel have been their usual solid self and Kelly's been playing OK. Bellamy is trying to make things happen but I think Walker has gotten the best of him and Tottenham's defense has been exceptional so far.

Controversially, if it came down to a choice between selling Suarez and selling Carroll, I’d sell Suarez.

Not bad, but we have to score. I have a feeling that Spurs would be more than content with a draw. They are just looking to catch us on the break.

By the way, you can hear a pin drop in there. Get Suarez on and get singing!
They're definitely playing for one, or to at least get lucky on a counter.  But they have no bench so who knows if they can even keep that up.

This is were having a good bench comes in.

Would like to see downing come on we look a bit narrow with two right footed players on the left.

Aye i agree, downing on for kuyt. Gerrards been excellent, but hes having that effect once again where hes demanding the ball constantly when theres better options. Some of our players need to grow some balls and fuck him off when there is better options available

everyone asking for suarez on , kuyt off. you do realise this will allow bale into the game?

Thats bollocks Bale is playing whereever he wants, and has been ineffective. Sky gimps are just reading from an autocue regarding Kuyt "tireless workrate" stopping Bale getting into the game, just don't let him run into space the whole team is closing down well.

Playing well without being too spectacular. I think Kenny is wary of what happened in the first game. Our bench is better than theirs so if we make the right substitutions then we can certainly nick it.

Don't who to take of though because Adam is playing well and Kuyt is keeping Bale very quiet. Bellamy has had a quiet half, maybe needs to move in more centrally.

Suarez on, but who comes off? Kuyt? Some poor passes and control, but helped nullify bale. Maybe hendo on for Adam, to help on right and suarez on for Bellamy? Hmmm, not sure either.

Also, Kyle Walker was definitely a bully at school.

Well he's getting bullied by Johnson today. The only 'good' thing he did came around from a rebound off Johnson's thigh.   :D

Suarez for Bellamy (save his legs) at some point - Kuyt must stay on I think or the dynamics could be seriously affected re Bale.

Think we need a left footer at LW to compensate for Johnson's right. Maybe Kuyt off, Bellamy to the right and Downing on the left. Naturally I'd also like to see Suarez come on ASAP just because he's Suarez

If we bring on Suarez it has to be for Carroll. Not a slight on Andy but I wouldn't want to change the shape of the side right now as we are nullifying Spurs so far. Kuyt is doing a top job breaking up Spurs' left flank as has Bellamy on the other side. More of the same in the second half and I'll be happy.

Glen Johnson MOH.

I'm feeling OK about this so far.  Our bench is miles better than Spurs'; let's see Suarez and Downing/Henderson and tear them apart this half.

We've been excellent at the back, Spurs are a hardworking and very organised side and we are bossing the midfield, fair enough they're missing
VdV but we're not letting Modric control things like he did at Anfield last season.

I'd like to see Carroll see out the game and I expect Suarez will replace Bellamy around the 70 minute mark.

Just keep doing what we're doing and hopefully the clear chance will come.

Very disappointing that we wasted free kicks in very good areas.

Good game all in all and no one has let us down.

Fascinating duel between Walker and Johnson, have to say I've been mightily impressed with Walker thus far. Glen has been boss at LB.

It's true to say that if Shankly had told us to invade Poland we'd be queuing up 10 deep all the way from Anfield to the Pier Head.
