Favourite signing of the summer so far for me. And why shouldn't he be a consistently good for us for a decade? He's got all the tools for a proper top class full back ,that's obvious to see.

Hmm lets not go that far.

No reason to think otherwise. He's 24, rapid, reads the game well and looks like a seasoned pro out there.

He's had a great first 2 games. Solid as fuck at the back and a great pacy threat going forward.

The last time I was this confident (defensively) was when we had Arbeloa. Its been a fucking while. Johnson really dragged our standards down as to what to expect from a right fullback. Such a vast improvement.

Top game again tonight though i thought he really tired towards the end, the Bournemouth left full, number 11 ? Daniels is it, i thought he was also really good.

He could be our first choice right back for the best part of a decade.
No reason to think otherwise.

Top top player. Expected nothing less from the lad. No frills footballer and something we've been missing for quite a number of years.

He's really good. I like his covering, defensively sound and likes to get forward. Everything you could want in a defender.

The one thing you need to be in his position in a Rodgers side is make it tough for your opponent to go past you. That's what he does best. I am worried he doesn't suffer from elevated expectations as the season goes on and our midfielders don't provide him the same support in some games. So far he has been the better of the new signings, IMO.

It is so unnatural for Liverpool to have a fullback who can defend well and join in the attack, that my eyes burn. A quality fullback can give you fifteen points extra, and I am not exaggerating. The title winners always have quality full backs, those who can't simply be beaten easily.
If only we had him playing like this in 13/14.
The difference with Johnson is so stark, I can't believe we didn't get rid of Glen soon.
Hats off to Bill on his throne,
He set the club's standards in stone.

Another solid performance looked like he been playing for us for few years now, need better forward in front of him to be able to see the best from him.
Liverpool manager Rafael Benítez admitted after the match that the manner of his side's victory had stunned him and he stated: "My problem is that I don't have words to express the things that I feel at this moment"

Clyne doesn't have the technical talent that Johnson has, but he makes the right decision all the time. Feels like he will deliver these 7-8/10 performances every week, rather than the occasional 9 followed by five 5/10 performances that Johnson gave us.

For once we've actually gone out and signed a specialist player for a full back position, really pleased with how seamlessly he's slotted in to the team.

Impressed by his intelligence. After watching Johnson meander forward and stroll back, it's refreshing to see a player consistently make the right decision in terms of choosing the best time to burst forward.

Thought he was superb last night, very solid defensively in both games which is what you would want first and foremost from your fullbacks. He's not afraid of going into a heavy 50/50 tackle either, there was one in the first half he smashed their winger and came out with the ball and his man left picking himself up off the floor.

Delighted with him so far but not getting carried away, because we were all rambling on about how great Enrique was when he was motm and shinning in his first few games for us  :D
Having Welbeck try and mark Pirlo is ridiculous. It's like trying to get a golden retriever to stop a tennis ball machine.Because one is a machine designed for a very specific purpose that it is peerless at, and the other is a fucking dog.

He is a defender that's gonna save our arses a couple of times per season. Great pace, determination and old school tackling ability.

Given he was a little isolated defensively on the right, he did very well.
It looks to me as if we have signed another 'average' player. I'll hold back my complete opinion until I see the lad play

Really pleased with him so far. Johnson was becoming an obvious liability down that flank and this signing will bag us point,s without a doubt. I can see him turning at least 2/3 of our losses last season into draws/wins, just by virtue of his solidity. He's going to get us at least 5/7 points this season.

Yeh he's been great so far. I think we'll see even more from him attacking wise once the team beds in a little better but he's solid and quick. A massive upgrade on last season.

1000% upgrade on Glen Johnson. Brings pace, power and physicality to defending. Seems pretty solid in defence and is not at all reluctant to make raids forward and get crosses in for Big Ben. For me, he's been the outstanding signing so far. I'll be the first to admit, I had my doubts - but if he stays fit and continues to perform as he has and even improves a bit then he'll be one of the top full backs in the league for sure.

This was always going to be a good signing as far as I'm concerned, especially at the price we got him at.

He will be?

He already was one of the best RB in the league last season when we signed him from Southampton.

Only Ivanovic and Zabaletta were better .

Even from the youtube videos, I had little doubt that he would improve our team significantly as RB when he was signed. He has everything that you want in a RB - proven ability int he Premiership, pace, strength, defensive nous and attacking and crossing ability.
