Crazy isn't it, how I can be closer to getting one when I joined a few years later is beyond me.

Any guesses how many of these new seats will to go Season tickets?

Reading the minutes of the latest committee meeting it would worry you that they'll give most of them to Members sales to keep the Membership scheme more attractive

I wonder what the chances of a season ticket amnesty would be when the new Main Stand gets built and all the seats have to be re-aligned etc. It would be amazing to find out how many season ticket holders are over 100 years old!

Would be out of order if they did that.

Would be interesting to see what happened though, I think over 50% of season tickets would be lost over night

Nah they wouldn't be lost mate, it would be an amnesty, i.e if the ticket isn't in your name, now is the time to get the official details over to the club without any fear of losing it

The minutes can be found here mate:-

http://www.liverpoolfc.com/fans/supporters-committee/minutes

I think where club officials talk about percentages of different types of groups in the new main stand (and potentially a new anfield road stand) is in the May 2014 minutes - on page 3 onwards.

There's also talk of memberships in the August 2014 minutes - but not so much re the make-up of the new stands

Interesting read. A few points...

Mentions they want to increase hospitality from 4500 to 6000 with the new stadium and only likely to open up the season ticket waiting list when it lowers from the current figure of 28,500 to around 10,000.

The club would also like to keep away fans in the Anny road but move them to the other side for access reasons.

Also says that 46,000 people tried buying the 400 tickets available online for Newcastle at home last season!

I can't see a figure for the number of season tickets available from the expansion...

The club are also looking to offer fans the opportunity to buy a brick that will be used in the construction of the new stand and to buy any seats that may be destroyed from the old main stand  ;D

Interesting to see how many of those 46,000 were so quick to snap up all the spares for West Brom last week or Swansea in the cup ;)

The club did an amnesty a couple of years ago didn't they? Sure they did.

Also, there are only a few rows of seats which will be lost from the current Main Stand, so doubt the club will be moving all that many ST holders after the two tiers are added.

Reading this promoted me to check where I am.  3000 odd so have a chance after the main stand work I guess.  Anyway I've recently moved house and changed my membership details etc but have realised today that my season ticket waiting list details are totally seperate. Worth remembering if you haven't logged into the list recently and you have moved house

I just checked too. Noticed that in aug12 I was 15000, now 14200. At 400 a year I'm looking at dying being the higher probability. Also noticed that my lad is 800 away from me, not sure how that happened as we applied together.

Just did my yearly painful check of my 4 on the list...

Gone up the massive number of 103 !!!!   :butt  :no

At this rate I will have to live till I am 164 years to get a season ticket... at least I will pay the OAP rate and be a bit cheaper. Although by then I wont be able to do the stairs!!

My son will be 135 by the time he qualifies .....oh well  :(

Just seen three FAQs that were uploaded on 04/12/2014:

I am on the Season Ticket Waiting List, will I get a seat in the Main Stand?

The expansion will allow us to increase the number of Season Ticket Holders at Anfield from Season 2016/2017. These new Season Tickets will be sold to the current waiting list in numerical order - those who have been on the list the longest will be offered a Season Ticket first. It is too early to say exactly how many and where supporters on the Waiting List will be eligible for a Season Ticket when the expansion is complete, however we expect that we will be in a position to contact those eligible during 2015.

What’s the new capacity and how many additional Season/General Admission/Hospitality tickets will be available?

The Main Stand will become one of the largest all-seater single stands in Europe, providing approximately 8,500 additional seats within the Stadium and increasing the overall capacity at Anfield to roughly 54,000. At this stage it is too early to provide an exact breakdown of seating/ticketing allocations; however we anticipate that half of the tickets will be hospitality and the remainder will be split between GA and Season Tickets. Further details will be available in 2015

I’m a Season Ticket Holder in the Centenary/Kop/Anfield Road, will I be given the option to move into the Main Stand in Season 2016/17?

It is too early to provide details on the seating available in the Main Stand during Season 2016/2017. We are able to confirm that existing Season Ticket Holders in the Main Stand will have the first option on any seats that become available as a result of the expansion works. A number of the new seats will also be made available to the Season Ticket Waiting List, with those on the list longest offered a Season Ticket first. More details on the availability of seats will be released in late 2015

It doesn't say split equally, they could go with a 75/25 split, or worse a 25/75 split.

It is a bit of a farce, me and our kid both applied on the same date with the same letter via my old man when we were both younger as we thought the letter coming from my Dad who was a season ticket holder would carry some/more weight. It was around 1999/2000 we have a copy of the letter somewhere.

He is on the list at 6887 (6987 the year before) and I didn't make the list as they "lost my application"

We hope to have one season ticket to pass onto one of our great grandchildren at some point.
