As always when these two sides play, it was a world-class football match, besides the 0-0 game last autumn every game seems to be a classic.

Luckily, we took our chances and they didn't. Very important three points, although there are 26 games to go so not counting any chickens at this stage.

I’ll give City credit, while Neville was trying to put the mockers on it, it never once looked or felt like they didn’t think they could get back into it. They’re a great side when they’re on it, and they were in spells today. But we stood firm. Can we really turn the screw in the next few games? Great that they play Chelsea next, they’ll be giddy on talk of being title contenders.

Huge performances from Fab and Gini, in fact they all worked their bollocks off and exposed their soft centre.

And a word on their penalty claim, Silva handled it, and no matter how accidental that’s a foul these days so there’s no penalty there. And why should they stop play like Kompany said? Ball stayed in play so play on until there’s a chance to review it.
