I assume if there are any campaign achievements, they'll ping when the game goes live?

Anyone else on Xbox had issues getting the game to launch last couple of days?

I was playing fine at the weekend, but every time I try no it tells me I need to buy it to play it - which I obviously have!

Think a few people have had issues going back to it. Game won't lauch or progress hasn't saved etc. Think I read IW are preparing an update to iron out some issues.

I think it's fair to compare mate. They share the same titles, characters, even some of the missions are intentionally designed with the intention for the player to reminisce. All ghilled up for example, there's a mission with some similarities in MW2 (2022) I'm not knocking the recent efforts of Modern Warfare but they broke the mould with COD4 and MW2 (09). In this game there's a lot of crafting at times, maybe because of the future DMZ mode and Warzone 2.0 but I could of done without It and the backpack etc. I also felt like both the final bosses If you can call them that was poorly executed, Graves in a tank and Hassan in the office block with some bullet sponge enemies just felt a little off. I'd of liked to know more about Hassan and Graves, there back story and such.

That’s fair mate. I do like what they did with some of the missions adding a slight survival element to some of the missions etc… but I note that some mainstream gaming sites are sort of slating it, personally found the campaign interesting. Do agree there was a lot of paying homage to some of the OG COD MW, and again personally liked their All Ghilled up homage mission, personally for me the best mission out of the lot.

Turns out the issue was with the pre order.

The card I used to initially pre order expired in August - I thought payment was taken at the time, but they only tried to take payment Monday - payment declined as card has expired.  ::)

Been going back getting the final trophies before launch tomorrow.

In a right pickle here cos my son has been playing up so I've told him he cannot download this for another week, and I wanna play it with him over the weekend haha.

Feels a bit rubbish getting stuck into it all weekend when he can't, so won't get much time this weekend to check MP out.

Just played three rounds, Team Death Match, Free For All and Domination.  Got around 25 kills in total, woefully out of practice. Digging it so far, already prefer it to Vanguard.

Anyone see that tweet about Infinity Ward resetting stats and banning anyone who changes their location?
Said would be console banning anyone so they can't create a new account e.t.c

The only tweet I’ve seen from regarding location change is one saying you maybe locked out until launch and you’ll experience connectivity problems.

This DMZ gamemode on Warzone looks interesting.

New smaller map will be out in summer, Rebirth is not coming back.

That because of the Netduma router where you can change your location to find easier lobbies.

The streamers on Youtube and Twitch always set there location as Midwest with Netduma's, in the USA the lowest concentration of players is in Midwest so you can find lots easy lobbies in an area with low population states like Iowa, North and South Dakota, Nebraska and Kansas.

What is DMZ? I've seen a lot of talk about it, was it in earlier CoD's?

Waiting for the Other Half to go horse riding, gives me a good 4-5 hours to get into this MP.

Saw a video on YouTube, the unlocking operators is so easier than MW2019, you could easily unlock most of the operators in an hour, instead of multiple matches like before, it's like 2 RPGs in one match, 5 headshots one match, 2 point blank kills one match.

If anyone has played the campaign - the "Alone" mission gives a good indication of what DMZ will be like, with what you have to do.

I unlocked the Kastov 7.62.

Just like a typical AK-47 in CoD, loads of recoil and hits hard, preferring it to the M4 so far.

Yeah i've had that also today.

On Reddit there is some funky weird shit being reported, going to be a patch after today apparently.

There was supposed to be a hardcore playlist (which is renamed Tier 1)and that hasn't been on either, IW have had a mare. ;D

Just like the beta, the AR's are king in this game, Kastov 7.62 i cannot stop using it, it kills so quick.

This is a ridiculous question about all FPS.

How do you guys aim down sights and get kills? It's by far the most common way to play these games and I just don't get it. It seems like people are able to see their opponents, quickly raise their gun and fire all in one smooth motion. It happens so quickly that they're essentially not even using the sights. I've never been a natural at FPS so I've never understood how people are able to do that.

Looking forward to playing this, enjoyed the first.

I guess that comes with practice mate, people learn maps and know where enemies are likely to be coming from so can pre aim or just prepare.

This game is harder though cos they have changed the spawns.  Rather than enemies spawning other side of the map, away from you - they spawn on their teammates now so spawns flip an awful lot and there is less flow on these maps - more random deaths cos you've always got someone behind you.

Get the habit of snapping aiming down sight, you see a sight line aim down sight and do it when you go around corners, your spatial awareness will eventually improves, as will your reactions.

Then you'll start getting more confident and jump around corner while aiming down sights, all the above all comes naturally you don't even know you're doing it, it just happens.  :)

I 3rd that on that border crossing map, a fucking abomination, someone must have thought lets do a map on that cool AF Sicario scene.

Cannot believe in testing they decided to keep it, it's unplayable shite.

Got the gold Kastov now, going for M4 gold now, i haven't even used any SMG's yet.

Might be some of the blandest, unimaginative cod maps ever

We have town in desert, town in jungle, town in....

Would it kill for something imaginative like within a skyscraper, being able to battle up and down floors, creating interesting choke points. Maybe on a moving train or plain. Something outside of the norm. These maps are dull and boring at the moment

I think they've tried to do too much. Like there's some good idea's but they are poorly executed. The gunsmith for one, I liked the idea of it but in reality having to level a gun you really don't want to use (like a pistol to get the red dot for the M4) is really not fun. I don't mind experimenting with guns but unless you are grinding camo's (completely your choice I rarely do) it's not on to basically force these types of weapons on you.

In general I like the maps, my least favourite is the border crossing (might be the worst cod map in history and that isn't hyperbole) two lanes and a load of exploring cars...

Also not a fan of the square desert map with random buildings.

Does anyone know if once you unlock your bonus and ultimate perk you have them for the rest of the game? Just because my ultimate will fill up like a brighter colour and activate but then once I die it goes to a darker shade again like i've lost it?

Then there's some glaring omissions like no barracks, no countdown timer on your tokens, like why arent these here? I just get BF2042 vibes sometimes, like they've tried to do so much they've missed basic stuff.

I'm really not going to play the MP much after WZ 2.0 drops but I'll use it to level things when I need to.

Been playing cod4 remastered in advance of this. Picked this up yesterday and my god the menus are shite. Could literally change a whole loadout, swap some perks and even a banner and call sign in between games on cod 4. Surely they can make it more simple.

Golded the M4 now, switched to the Scar which is a really strong gun, it's better than the Scar in the last MW which just fired to slow.

I'm loving this MP even with it's minor glitches.

The UI is an abomination though, not sure why they changed a good thing, during the Beta it was probably the most complained thing about on Reddit.
