I'm a newbie to all this IPTV stuff. I've seen a couple of accounts on Twitter and Instagram offering mag boxes and subscriptions for £170 and £230 a year.

Would either of these be the best option or buy a box myself and a subscription from a seller?

Thanks

Buy your own box and get a word of mouth recommendation on a subscription.

There's too many dodgy providers out there, you could find yourself in the situation of buying a 12 month sub from someone who vanishes 3 weeks later. The only benefit of buying that way is it is pre-configured for you, but IPTV setup is very straightforward and there's loads of people in this thread who can help

Swerve, you could get a device and  2x 12m subs for less than  £100 & 2 subs means you have a spare incase 1of them had trouble

Mags are good if you just want a normal stb style approach, although wouldn't recommend one now due to Infomirs stance on copyright and blocking of portal urls that they know to serve infrigned content.

Formuler Z8 is probably the best alternative and a bit more flexible too.

Fack that. Get a 4k firestick and stbemu app AND decent IPTV supplier, few mentioned on here!  Never get a year sub, 3-6 months only.

That depends on what you are going to be using to watch with.

Its all easy enough and they will help you through the set up,the majority of them will give you a 24hr trial as well.

I have a sub with revo. Is there a box I can buy to go with it so that I can pause/record? Or does it have to be a specialist IPTV provider for this?

You obviously need one that works with a hard drive.Pausing and recording would gave nothing to do with the sub,you just need the iptv player to support it.

Signed up to  Vader Streams on Smart STB with my Samsung TV during the week. Just opened it up and it takes ages for streams to load and constantly stopping/starting. Is this common during 3pm games? Also the menu is really slow as well.

Could be down to your tv but I've not got Vader so can't help much, try it on your computer (if they have a web browser option).

If BT were blocking it then it wouldn't even load up mate, get yourself a box or stick & it will be fine.

Don't use stb myself but can you change the player and/or codec ?

Heard a lot of bad things about Vader to be honest so one I've avoided, I usually go through the reviews on reddit and buffering on Vader seems to be a problem a lot of people have, I look for low profile providers and don't tend to tell anybody as well if I find a good one ;D on my second one for this season and it's been great so far, don't bother asking as I don't want it oversubscribing ;D

I've tried R00t on STB on Samsung and didn't have a problem for the Brighton game a couple of weeks ago. Didn't renew after the trial week though as already have it on a box

My 5p0rt M@nia / N@ti0n sub has just expired so looking to renew my streams for the footy.  Do I carry on with them, who to be fair have been OK since their troubles at the start of the season or am I better off going with someone else?

Currently using IPTV Smarters app on my Fire TV stick to access the streams.

Recommendations welcome via PM.

Cheers

A lot of providers, even the smaller ones, were blocked at the weekend during the footy. A vpn will become a necessity soon.

I’ve long been of the opinion that a large chunk of this market is taken up by a handful of providers and a bucket load of resellers and this reinforces that.

Where most people see 50 IPTV providers I think it’s more like 5 with 45 of their resellers.

That's true for the foreign channels but the block affects UK channels as well and even servers with local cards went off. Its the usual cat & mouse game thats been going on for years.

Very few allow you to use a vpn, some do if you ask but if you use one without permission they ban your account, they prefer to keep changing addresses.

Anyone who wants a free vpn in case of surprise blocks can use this link to windscribe, you get 20gb free per month if you use code EXPAND20,shows up as 10gb but the next time you log into the client area it will show 20gb
