I saw the banner last night - thought it was quality and applauded like the rest - but didn't know who he was so I opened this thread out of curiosity. OMG!
Recognised him instantly from the description (it just had to be) and then saw the picture. Sitting here now writing this with tears streaming down my face.
Sincerest condolenses to him family and friends. I never knew his name but we always refer to him as the leader of "the barber shop quartet" because of the hours of singing by Bobby and his mates in Istanbul airport - the harmonies!
The hours we were there listening to them! Every word was sung from the heart. Legend. How Liverpool fans were - and should be IMO.
The last time I saw him was in a bar at Dublin airport on the way back from Atleti in October. He was there with all his family (a regular occurrence at Euro aways from what he said) and they were all sitting right round us, laughing, drinking, singing....
Won't be the same without seeing him around at aways! Best wishes to his family.
