Sorry, my bad. The email says the sale is only for Ann Arbor. Charlotte and NY are "coming soon"

That's all good. The email came from the club yes (I think it was sent to all members of the various official supporter's clubs in the US. The Chicago LFC website seems to be down at the moment, otherwise I'd post the link.)

No - they are very extreme, imo. I was looking at Manchester City game in Chicago- prices for lower level - $396 per ticket. For a glorified friendly!
People will pay it though.

depends on the sport and the location, for hockey - yes, very typical, for baseball no.

My local US teams are New York teams, so they are likely much more expensive than other areas. for the New York Rangers, ticket prices are outrageous, even the 'cheap seats', will set you back $100 plus. Tickets in the lower sections closer to the ice will easily cost $200-$300 each.

Baseball can be pretty cheap though, easy to get NY Mets tickets for $20 if you like sitting up high! Decent tickets can be got for $50 - $60 depending on the time of day / day of game and opposition.

The upper sections, nose bleed, will have lower prices. I suspect there will be those in the $50 range.

The problem with Ticketmaster is picking your seat in the section you want. Not to mention the damn Fees. So that $116 ticket isn't $116.

Check the stadium diagram, figure out where the travelling Kop will be, and if you want to save money, sit further back.

And btw..if it is $116 to sit behind the goals, imagine what it is midfield.

Prices for live music and sport in the states are outrage. Moved out to Boston about a year ago and basically any arena concert starts at $150 ticket but more likely priced $250-300 (for regular standard seating miles away from the stage).

Baseball games - $30-50 for poor seats, $75 for something very average and then $150-250 for decent seats. This is just location rather than anything corporate or fancy like that. You've got to remember as well that they play every day for half the year - 80-90 home games.

NFL - super hard to get tickets and then if you can you're looking at $300-750/ticket.

It's insane!!

I've tried to go to some sport when on holiday in the US but have done it that infrequently i havent really paid that much attention

So seems the Liverpool games are top price and comparable to the New York Rangers for example but they shouldn't lose sight of the fact its a friendly match

I sympathise with people wanting to go - it could be the one time you get to see us play live for the year so likely you'll find a way but if there's a family of four to pay for you're not going to see much change form $500 after travel and food etc which is just nuts!

Btw..for Charlotte v AC Milan..I wanted in the front row to hang a Lucas flag I had. Tried online and that was useless, so called Ticketmaster.

Eventually got Ticketmaster to understand what I wanted. They found me a couple seats in row A behind the begining of our bench.

Get to the stadium and they have row AA and i'm in the second row.....

damn, that sucks. The OSC just sent an email out but its a different code than the one mentioned earlier. Not sure which to use

Usually there are a couple different presale codes.

One from the Club, one from ICC, One from the other club, so they can track which organization the referral was from.

So try any of them.

Anyone know what section the Travelling Kop will be in for the Charlotte game? 4 years ago I bought tickets to see Liverpool vs AC Milan when the tickets were released and then found out after the fact that the "fan club seats" were in section 138 across the stadium from where I was sitting.

These tickets go on general sale on Friday and you can get them from Ticketmaster for between 40-85 euros.
