RIP Frank Bough

RIP Frank Bough....probably one for the older members but sad that Frank has died. For many the face of televised sport in the 1970s presenting Grandstand and many live sporting events.
Also presented Nationwide and BBC breakfast news when it started.
Seemed to be on the holiday shows with his wife as well.
However his career ended under a cloud when he was outed as visiting establishments people in public view shouldn’t really be going to.

Used to present the local sports news on ITV down here when I was a kid too in the late 80’s or early 90’s.

Honestly don't give a crap where he visited.  We're only human in the end.  I'm only surprised that he was still going - I kinda assumed he slipped from the mortal plane some years ago.

RIP Frank, one of the greats, especially compared to the dross SKY serves up.

He was an outstanding broadcaster. Equally at home with sport as he was with news and current affairs.

Career ended by allegations of drug taking and prostitutes. As I read in a piece by someone yesterday, in the world of politics that would elevate you to the position of a cabinet minister.
