Got the Eurosport player & watching the uninterrupted coverage watching through the PS4, only about 30 seconds behind ITV4 on Freeview, i do like ITV4 coverage but the constant ad breaks are irritating.

Not sure whether i'm a fan of the cobbles or not on the TDF, carnage everywhere which makes the stage interesting, but cyclists can have there Tour over with one slip which is easily done on the cobbles even worse when it's raining, cobbles are better for the one day classics.

Saw some bits of it today, looks brilliant ;D Will have to find a vid later, first bit of pro racing I've watched in ages.

Its not even wet. If you can't do those corners, you'll have to ride slower. Its not the course that makes it dangerous, its the way it is ridden.

Still hoping the other teams won't be as timid this year. Would imagine especially Movistar, having Valverde, Landa and Quintana all within striking distance could launch a few attacks over the next couple of stages. Unless they're biding their time waiting for next weeks climbs. Then again, they might just be waiting for Froome to do a "Peyresourde 2016" on them, so they won't have to worry about competing :D

What a great finish to the stage that was, sadly Cav out eliminated on time, finished over an hour back, Alpe d'Huez tomorrow be interesting what Team Sky do after tomorrows stage if the GC standings are the same or Thomas increases his lead.

Not at the cost of a highly competitive and tough GC. Are the hilly stages harder than in most years? Didn't get the impression that they were.

Shit or bust for Nibbles, Quintana, Bardet, Barguil, Dan Martin et al today.

Even if any of the other (non SKY) GC contenders can win on top of Alpe d'Huez, can they take a couple of minutes out of Thomas and Froome?  :(

Think what's different is that they started with proper mountain stages earlier, usually there are a couple of 'easy mountains' first.

Its quite normal for the sprinters to leave the tour early, but usually its out of choice ;D

And also the fact that Cav and Kittell couldn't get near Sagan, Gaviria and Groenewegen even before a mountain came into view made their decision to fold easier.

Green jersey for Peter then.

Good, as I felt last year he was robbed of it for what I remember being a fairly minor offence - against Cav was it?

To be fair Sam, I think he had that jersey boxed off before anyone even withdrew.

At the end of the ITV4 highlights they showed the other side of the wall he went over and it wasn’t a nice soft landing!

Always puts the shits up me seeing them descend. Thankfully Yates’s fall wasn’t ‘that’ bad but was wincing watching some of those bends.
