Sweaty Betty.

"I couldn't believe the size of her bum, she used to play for Wigan at the back of the scrum"

One of their 'cleaner' funny lyrics.  Excellent band, funny as buggery!

"You can fuck you can cook you can do the washing up" - always promoting a positive approach to women. Used to be quite funny, havent listened to them since i was a kid though.

Saw them 3 times including the concert at Goldwyn's which featured in the Come to Brum video.  If you liked being spat on, trampled on and covered in piss you'd love the concert.  always had the NF/Combat 18 following though, which spoilt it somewhat.  I don't think they got the irony of it all

Knock Knock

Who's There

Thatcher

Thatcher who

That's yer mother getting rodgered in a gangbang the other night, at the start she was nice and tight
In the end, you'll get a fist in any orifice oi oi

:D

It's the subtle nuances in their lyrical stylings that i particularly love

Eh up We're the Mac Lads!
And when you find yourself along the untrodden path
Remember me with a smile, a drink, a gesture or a laugh
And a toast for the man who loves every hour of every day
And a feast for the friends and faces met along way
Gratitude

On tour this year. I'm looking at Newcastle on 17th November. Be interesting to see the demographic of punters. Hopefully the Britain First brigade won't be there. Still expect to be covered in piss, spit and beer.

Haha saw them twice mid to late 80’s

The gig at Shelley’s in Stoke was brilliant before it turned into a rave club.

Also saw them at Ye Olde Red Lion in Warrington.

Macc Lads were crude as fuck but there were no political or racist undertones what I can remember. They probably be deemed as mysoginistic these days but fuck it., ‘‘twas different times back then and great fun looking back on it.

Beer, Sex, chips & gravy must have sold a good few copies.

Saw them at the International I in Manchester in 87 or 88. The place got ripped apart. It was like attending an indoor riot, with some music. Watched it all unfold from the safety of the balcony.

That website in the other thread that nidgemo posted has some v.funny lines.
