Yes...

Ali
TAA / Konate / VVD / Robertson
Dom / Mac Allister / Jones
Salah / Nunez / Diaz
Swap Jota for Nunez and it’s the team we all wanted at the start of the season (with Thiago being out indefinitely).

Surprised that Gakpo misses out. Thought he was nailed on to start.

Nunez will have no space to work in.

The Atalanta win isn't hugely relevant given it was the equivalent of winning a second half 1-0 when 0-3 down at HT, but I agree with your point. We were decent at Fulham, should have won more comfortably and we also created enough chances to have won the Palace game. Not creating enough chances is not something I can accuse us of, it's sticking enough in the net.

It was relevent.  Klopp has said so, we needed to win a game (and keep a clean sheet) as a reminder that we could.

Maybe it's due to the likely physical, combative nature of the game. For a big lad, Gakpo seems to spend a lot of time getting bullied off the ball or put on his arse.

Everton's entire season rests on this fixture. They wait all season for this one game. It's their champions league final and they're gonna go all out against us. We just better not concede early because they'll park all 11 players behind the ball and play the entire game punting the ball out while we try to batter down a wall of 11 men.

Need to get a fast start and shut them up early.

To general measures of perdormance levels it isn't. Had we won the first leg 3-0 and lost the second 1-0 nobody woild have considered it as anything but a job well done. We were playing a side who considsded a 0-1 defeat as a great result and barely attempted to score in the second half. We can't read anything into it. But I've agreed with you thar Fulham was a decent performance and I also think if we'd taken a couple of chances against Palace ir would be looked back on as a classic title winning close home win.

I'm confident we win tonight, I'm optimistic.

God I hate playing these Neanderthals.

Get an early goal to quieten the locals (well I say quieten - I really mean to get them to spew their invective at their own team instead of us), then a second to kill the game off would be beautiful. Target Ashley Young relentlessly, he's old, got arthritis, and is well overdue to give away a penalty soon.

And don't, for the love of fuck almighty, don't give away an early goal.

It will be the usual bullshit tactics.

Late tackles, diving, arguing with ref, long balls.

So it will be the Fulham midfield vs West Ham?
Eight day gap after West Ham, so I’d imagine a majority of the “first choice” will be asked to go again. Probably not Trent, given his recent return and quick turnaround in games.

Be nice if the ref punishes their first leg break attempt and doesn't let them get away with about 4 or 5 before finally doing something, Tarkowski will be going for it big time, hopefully we can avoid injury.

Players should only shag their missus in September /October so they give birth in June/July. Anything else risks missing games like Cody's done here. Summer shagging should be strictly verboten.

I'd fine him two weeks wages.

Im confident we beat them by a couple

I said after Sunday that I thought are in form 3 was Gakpo, Jota and Diaz
So typical of our luck that 2 of them miss out for different reasons

It would be a great time for Mo to re find some of that missing spark. And for Darwin to get back to his mid season hot streak!!!

He played a couple of days ago for the under 21's. Probably building him up for next season given how much football he's missed this year

Fair enough re Gakpo but a shame given the form he’s in. The others will just have to make light of the fact he’s missing.

Come on reds let’s make it 3 on the bounce and keep this chase alive
