Do you realise how stupid 1 minute of added time is in the 'realistic added time' rule? Of course it's Tierney. Ball out of play about 6 minutes that half

As expected, a battle. Without the injured first team players we look a bit lacking in guile. Clark’s done alright and had a decent effort. Mostly half chances.

Another much improved second half would be handy.

Pretty in control there without a whole lot of quality on show. Hopefully we have a big 15 or 20 in us at some point.

Great save Kev, Clarke doing well. They are trying to get after Joe.

Gakpo has been awful and has not stepped up like Diaz with the lost of our other strikers. Danns should be ahead of him in the pecking order.

Attacking options

Nunez on for Clark, Elliot drop back into midfield, see how it goes
Dom on for Gomez, Mac back into 8, see how it goes
Danns on for Gakpo, see how it goes

Defensive options
Endo and Quansah to come on shore it up
Football is a lie

Kept it tight and not many chances for either side.

Hopefully we can nick a goal then its a different game as they are so compact.

Trying his hardest but fuck me Gomez is not a 6, we have no options in midfield for linking play and he's always a yard behind on defense, lucky not to have a yellow.

I worry about Gakpo, just doesn't appear to have a strikers instinct to get into the box, that Diaz cross Gakpo was 5 yards outside on his heels.

Nunez and Endo and we should do this easily.
He’s slow in body and mind.

A striker would have been in the six yard box looking for a cross or shot off the keeper.

Get Danns on at halftime for Gakpo please if Darwin can’t play 45 mins. He’s running on fumes and isn’t contributing at all.

Yeah the ref basically gave them everything but they scream when one or two rightfully go our way.

Tough game but we are coping pretty well. Forest created absolutely nothing. Second half subs will be key for us.

How has he given them everything? They only had 5 freek kicks in the match and we have had 7.

Forrest making it difficult for us, their crowd must be up there with Wolves for screaming for every decision.
Bobby Clark been good again, as has Virg.
Most of our players stepping up  who are being given a chance but Gakpo is not one of them, cementing his place as fifth choice striker at the moment.

Yates is a thug.
Defensive players walking towards the ball when a free is awarded should be booked.
Gomez sometimes forgets to be active for the return ball when in midfield.
There's a definite disconnect between midfield and our front 3.

It's worth noting they have the most 'quick break' goals in the PL this season.

Lets do this.
And all the world is football shaped, It's just for me to kick in space. And I can see, hear, smell, touch, taste.

Tierney doing Tierney things - trying his best not to give us blatant corners and any 50:50 challenge near the touchline is a throw to them. Lets hope he doesnt need to make any big decisions.

Yeah, I think some of the senior lads will get the second half, it was all a bit flat without anyone doing anything amazing or amazingly bad. Some of Cody's decision making is a little questionable, but of course he's the sort who will bang one in when we least expect it. Endo, Dom and Nunez to bring some fresh legs in, and hopefully our second half form will continue. Forest are lively and could cause us a problem, but they're not exactly the most confident at the moment so time to put them to the sword.

Szoboslai, Endo and Nunez utterly transform this team which is good. A proper midfielder at 6, real pace up front, genuine pace and power i midfield. Hope we see them sooner rather than later.

The boys have done a great job covering for our injured horde over the past few weeks. Time for them to come on and win the game. Endo, Darwin and Szobo to come on no later than 60 mins.

Not our best half. I don’t think Gomez or Clark know where to play. Neither are really offering any support to the player on the ball.

We’ll need to have a better 2nd half and get some shape into our game.

It would be nice if Tierney gave us anything. For most of the throwins or goalkicks he just seems to guess.

Oh and listening to Warwock you’d need we were being schooled by the better team. Even if we mount an attack it’s apparently Forest allowing us to do so.

How has he given them everything? They only had 5 freek kicks in the match and we have had 7.

Probably about ten 50/50 throw in decisions which make a difference plus corner decisions etc.

The issue with Gakpo for me is I couldn't tell you what he's doing out there.  Doesn't seem to press, doesn't get in behind, doesn't create anything, and even when he was having games like that he was taking chances but speed of thought looks at least a yard slow at the moment.
I don't agree, he'd go to Legoland. Bye.

Think Gomez has done alright as the 6.  His range of passing is exposed in that position but he's been available and moved the ball well.
