Pathetic but did anyone really think we could be champions after our last 2 matches? I think we were mentally shot and gassed after our cup match against Utd.

We did overachieve overall this season though. Such a pity Klopp deserved to be out in much nicer way.

Atalanta showed how to beat us. Be more physical.

Diaz was about the only one who tried. The rest, bar Mac, waltzed their way through it.

Block Virgil at corners and we are weak.

Very strange substitutions from Klopps there. Bringing on Gomez and Tsmikias when chasing the game with 10mins to go. Quansah and Endo before that too. 4/5 subs were defensive while Gravenberch, Gakpo and Danns stayed on the bench. Strange

Diaz and Quansah when he came on did well. The rest the less said the better. Ref was a joke all night but the bigger issue is our attackers missing chances. Not sure what has happened to Dominicks game either? Mo has looked very old the last few weeks.

Diaz tried to make things happen at least. Salah and Nunez were pathetic, and our defending on both goals was tragic. Ref was a disgrace throughout, but what’s new there?

Sad end for Jurgen. When it came to the pressure end of the season it’s just fallen apart. At least we’re finally finished off and can stop torturing ourselves hoping the team will pull something miraculous out of the fire. It’s not looked at all likely these last few weeks.

Our attacking players just aren't that good. They're not bad but they're not that good either. None of them carry the individual threat that is required to help a team win the league.

Well, that was atrocious. A real whimper to the end of our season. All these last few games have done have raised questions over our forwards, midfield and defence. Don't think anyone came out of that unscathed. No point blaming the ref, 2-0 and 2 easily conceded goals at that.

Being brutally honest Klopp looks like he has lost focus with his job now effectively over. Losing and drawing to United seems to have taken his mojo away and I don't think he can get the enthusiasm up knowing the title is out of reach.

A sad way to finish his time at Liverpool. None of those named as his replacement exactly fill me with confidence either and I am not convinced we have fixed our midfield from last season. Next year will be rough. A lot of work to be done.

The team look lost and directionless.

The only thing I have to add is (and this is not a bash at him) I think we might need to play Salah from the bench a bit.
He's a legend and is obviously class. I'd bet on him to be class again but his form at the minute is so bad it's almost like playing a player short.

The players who've won things with us, the most experienced ones were among the most disappointing.

Trent, Robertson, Salah and especially Virgil.

That's one of the worst games I've seen Virgil have, absolutely bullied, failed to win a single header the whole game despite our area being peppered, lost his composure.

Diaz and later Elliot were the only two to come away from that game with any credit.

An absolutely clusterfuck of a performance. Konate, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Jones and Nunez all very poor

I thought Gomez was coming on for McAllister and Trent moved in to midfield. Couldn't believe it when we changed the fullbacks. Not making Danns out to be second coming but surely you put on your attacking players in that situation.

We're a spent force, it's as simple as that, at least for this season. The story of Klopp's tenure isn't defined by a loss to some goofy mongrels managed by a grock-loving ginger c*nt, obviously. We'll get to work and go again, and Jurgen can get some well-deserved rest.
