It's a good idea! Anyone complaining is probably one of those touts who never goes in the stadium!
I follow the reds all around Europe. This campaign I've been to Seville, Moscow, Porto and taken annual leave from work to do so. Sometimes 1 day, sometimes 2, 3 or sometimes a week. I've been all over. Had to get out of work to get my Moscow Visa as well.
Any collection would eat into my 'holiday' time at those cities, but at least I could easily do it in the day.
City away got me a bit excited because it meant I can just go an hour earlier from work and not use a day - I could then potentially ensure I'm able to go to the semi final if we get there and possibly another day sightseeing on the next trip.
Collecting tickets and the uncertainty changes that. Have I got to take half a day off? Can I leave work 2 hours earlier? How soon do I need to figure it out? When will I know if I'm one who has to collect? Need to give notice for days off - looks like we won't know for quite a while and will be short notice.
Some lads will be going via coach - and that's not exactly one where they can go earlier because 3 out of the 50 need to be there sooner to collect a ticket.
It's not easy and adds lots of uncertainty.
Get rid of touting yes, but try not to impact those that actually go the game.
At least it's at the stadium and not in the city centre. I just hope they are set up to manage 200+ people as don't forget it's not just our 200. It's all the foreign fans who have chosen collection, anyone who did not get to collect from Anfield or post in time, potential some hospitality ones etc etc.
Frustrating.
