Why are their fans mocking us and our players being shocked about vvds injury. You read stuff like "rip vvd" etc. . That coming from a team that wore Gundogan shirts for warm up when he got injured. Seriously?

Most of their fans are clueless Orcs. What do you expect?

Always makes me laugh when I see City fans claiming Liverpool are bigger spenders.

They seem to believe that Liverpool have a more expensive defence, because they spent more on VVD than they've ever paid for a player.
Casually ignoring the fact that if you ranked all defenders by cost, after VVD you'd have to go through about a dozen City players to get to the next Liverpool one.
Didn’t they spent something like £150m on left backs alone? Out of our back 4, TAA, Matip, Gomez are free.

It’s classless to laugh at injuries. I don’t recall any one of us on here cheering on Aguero’s injury and if anything else, we acknowledged what a good striker he is.

But this lot is classless. All those stupid songs sung by their players and fans makes them as disgusting as Utd.

Gomez wasn't free, but he was quite inexpensive, and further I agree with your overall point. Just being pedantic.

I'd expect him and Jesus back on Sunday.  to be honest, they are great at rushing injured players back - hope it blows up in their face.

Probably more for the pre-match discussion thread but Pep has definitely changed how they play the last 4-5 games to where control is #1 at the expense of everything else.  They're way down in shots and goals but have figured out a way to effectively shut down the game from the first minute and just create 2-3 good chances themselves which is all they need.  I can't see that working against us but against most of the rest of the league and especially in Europe it seemingly is working fine.

Is there a whinier, more cry-arsey team than Abu Dhabi? Even when they concede absolute blatant fouls (like that smack in Jota’s face), they are running en-masse after the ref bawling their eyes out.  They are just like those snitchey little kids in the playground who go crying to the teacher when they trip and get a boo-boo.  And Sterling is the absolute king at it. That damn face!

They are so tedious to watch.

The cycle is over for this team, no wonder Pep isn't signing another contract.

We are cleaning up this League and picking up 2-3 more titles while Klopp is here and Pep doesn't want anything to do with a bit of  competition  expect to see him at Juve or PSG next

If they were our biggest worry, then the fact that they have scored only one goal in each of their last 5 league games with Pens handed out like halloween sweets these days, I'd be relaxing even more tonight. I just wonder if someone else that's already in the top 4 as we stand is more of a threat than them?

Come on, that was iconic. Even if Jesus meant it it's still not the same. It was a nice goal regardless.

They are no longer very good. They are probably still the 2nd best team in the league right now but it seems like something isn't balancing there.

After all the money wasted it seems we have finally found a CB-partnership worth its salt. Dias looks superb. Cancelo is our best full back. Sterling needs to get back to the right before the world finds out he's nothing special, in fact a pretty shit left-winger. De Bruyne has obviously been run into the ground and is struggling as much as I have ever seen him for us but he showed he can still create something out of nothing, shame about the pen.

Good first half from both teams, turgid 2nd. Thought we could have stolen all 3 points at the end by Bernie in the middle and Foden on to force chances. Oh well, many points left to fight for

It would be funny if they'd signed a £65m defender on a one year contract.  Alas, I think you're thinking of Eric Garcia.

It's a measure of how badly Pep sets up his defences that pundits are impressed he's managed to make a £200m+ back four look competent.  The other two central defenders sitting on the bench that cost £90m must be marvelling at his tactics.
