Kuyt - Thought he'd be a great striker after his cameo against West Ham, then went to think  he's no good at all. Hasn't he proved everyone wrong?

Keane, Morientes never lived up to their reputations.

Big Sami. After the years of dodgy centre halves and defenders - especially Scandinavian - I was skeptical to say the least when we signed him. I had seen Henchoz at Blackburn and really rated him. But it was Sami who surprised me. Great, great signing.

Biggest disappointment, Smicer. A brilliant and intelligent player, who never quite reached the level he should have. Every time he came back from injury, I would hope that he would go on a long injury-free run of appearances and show the undoubted quality he had.

Then again, he left us with a great leaving present in May 2005.   ;D

Martin Skrtel-biggest pleasant surprise for me.
Yossi Benayoun- He lived up hope!
Pepe Reina, Fernando Torres- brilliantly.
Daniel Agger-When you look at him you may think that he is from LFC Academy

I was seriously on Dirks back for the 2007/08 season and now he's on my back, the back of my new away jersey that is.  I think the death of is father affected him so i feel bad for giving him such abuse, now as a result of this im overcompensating. which is a good thing, i think.

GO ON THE DIRK !!!!!

I always had a feeling Morientes would flop here, but even to the end I was hoping he would prove me wrong. I think he came over to England a few years too late.

Skrtel had a shocker in his first game, sure turned it around.

Thought Diouf would do it for us, shows you how much I know

Any of our "missing piece in the jigsaw" players, Ince, Ruddock, Morientes.
Paul Stewart was keek as well despite the big money tag (2.2m I think)
Dean Saunders-oh to think we had the chance of Ian Wright for 2.5 and opted for Saunders at 2.9.
Also my namesake and owner of said Y-fronts, I remember arguing in school that he was one of the best central defenders in Europe with an Everton supporter in Belfast coz he won the Euro's with Denmark ha ha lol.
Maybe I was a bit hasty in my praises......
