Can't really say anything that hasn't already be said.

But would like to offer my thoughts to her family. She sounded like a selfless person.

R.I.P Cherith.
Wake up, will ya pal? If you're not inside, you're outside, OK? And I'm not talking a $400,000 a year working Wall Street stiff flying first class and being comfortable, I'm talking about liquid. I may not have known her, may not have talked to her before, but she feels like far from a stranger to me. Seeing this thread, and the article in liverpoolfc.tv brings back this particular memory from almost a year back...

One day in December last year, I suddenly received an envelope in the mail with the postage marked from "Liverpool". I was undoubtedly very excited, because who could have sent me that? I knew nobody in Liverpool, and I just wondered what was inside. I opened the envelope, and to my great amazement and surprise, I pulled out this autographed picture of Michael Owen. By then, it was already 4 months since Owen had left. I was totally shell-shocked, and then I found a note along with it. It read, "I noticed you had emailed Michael Owen a lot and thought you might like this."

Just one sentence, no indication on who it was from, except that it was obviously someone from liverpoolfc.tv, because the note had the official website address printed on top.

In great excitement, I proceeded to ask on the liverpoolfc.tv forum, trying to find out who was that kind soul who mailed me that. It didn't take long before one of the staff there replied that it could have been this woman called Cherith, who had dozens of letters addressed to all parts of the world left on her desk at her office, and they mailed them out to fulfil her last wishes.

I won't be the first to say this, but this amazing woman obviously had such a big heart that she was able to touch so many lives. She even had the capability of bringing smiles to complete strangers living thousands of miles away.

I know that she'd be able to hear me somewhere up there... so Cherith, if you really were the one who sent me that, I just want to say a big "Thank You"...

RIP and YNWA.
I never know how I'm supposed to respond to "What's up?"

Was thinking of Cherith a lot yesterday and was mostly okay til about 8 o'clock when I was sitting in the boozer and got this text from the big lummox Bally, "Thinking of you big fella." Simple as that but that set off me blubbing, right there in the middle of the Market Gate. Do you know what, I think I love that Bally geezer almost as much as I love Cherith. Brings a smile to my grid thinking of them both.

R.I.P. Cherith

I was the same Evo, I was fine throughout the day, but last night sat at work and started to read through the e-mails we had exchanged...

Mostly about her sorting me for tickets, and me sorting her brothers Jonny and David for Chelsea ones...

I couldn't help myself Evo, and found myself in the same boat as you.

Then I thought to myself that Cherith was a naturally happy person (you even tell it by the way she wrote her e-mails) and that yesterday I should think of the good times, which soon brought a smile back to my face.

Doesn't stop me from missing her though!

Liverbirds and flags flutter in the breeze,
Brandy, tram lines, all down on knees,

Misfits, vagabonds and football chancers
Sarah, Bikey and smattering of dancers

Friendships forged, people (dare i say) 'united'

thank you for the days. to those people who let me into their lives through our friendship with Cherith.  To Lee Jordon and Beki----- to Jane (worst job in the world at this time of year !!!!) ...Dotty, Bob, Gabby, Dave, Neil, Christine, Steve Rushian, to our Liam for understanding, to Nikki for a friendship with Cherith which was brief but important and all the others.
To Brenda's Steve and vertigo for the maddest return home journey ever.
To Bikey and Sarah and all those in Cherith 'other / non football world i did not know'
To Mr Sutton for 'days' - something i can never ever hear in quite the same way.

For all the friendships forged, relationships established, pints swallowed unbelievable memories that are linked to our friend Cherith I am humbled, have gratitude and have been enriched.  I thank her, thank you and ask that we continue to value what we have lost, and what we have....

Goodness me, I can't believe it's 8 years since I first read this thread. Thinking of all of you who were lucky enough to know this lady.

Also, what an enjoyable trip down memory lane this thread is, odd as that may seem, in terms of posters long since inactive or absent from these boards.
