Ugh. Mind you it's Ruiz's big cash in fight so don't blame him. Might be Joshua's last mega payday as well if he loses!

Surely Vegas would've brought in similar numbers, the demand is there. Saudis are well known to hold various events there and not pay up their end of the contract. Be funny if Matchroom and DAZN get burned.

Great isn't it, you murder a journalist and create international outrage then get rewarded with countless big sporting events and concerts. Lovely world we live in.

Hearn cashing out on AJ? Knows that if AJ loses that's the end of the cash cow.

Putting the fight in Saudi is a joke.

Where you heard that? Criminal if true. They don't give a fuck about boxing over there, 95% of people attending probably can't even name three current champions. This card should be in the UK or USA, even Mexico

I take it this is a case of selling the rematch to the highest bidder. I think AJ has his work cut out, we're not talking about a freak knockout he needs to overcome here. It's an annihilation for 4 rounds.

Matchroom announcing their newest addition on Tuesday. Odds on it's BJS.

Got to love the bullshit from Eddie Hearn

"We had approaches from Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Qatar," Hearn added. "We wanted to go somewhere that had a vision for the sport of boxing. We already knew Saudi Arabia was for real and investing in the sport.

"We have to realise that there is another world out there outside of Cardiff and Madison Square Garden. We have an obligation to grow the sport to new areas and regions.

"This event could change boxing forever. If Saudi is going to invest in these fights you could be seeing a big change in the dynamics of the sport, which truly excites me."

I'd have more respect for him if he's just come out and say 'Well they paid me a fuck load of money'

WWE have done it the past 2 years with their PPV events. $450 million over 10 years

The thing you wont see with this card though is a womens match. So no Katie Taylor.

Andy Ruiz is meant to have done an interview saying the rematch will take place on his terms and it wonít be taking place in Saudi & he wants it in the US.

I'm not too sure it does take place on his terms when he's signed a rematch clause, but it does look like EH has gone early on this..

Yeah what's that all about, has he signed or hasn't he? Hearn needs to cut the bullshit. I hope Ruiz sticks to his guns and takes this fight to USA or better yet, Mexico City. If he does, I know who I'll be cheering on in the rematch.

Depends could pull out and rearrange the rematch. Depends what's in the contract.

Rematch happens but did it state it had to be in a certain location?

I do wonder if it suits both parties if the rematch doesnít happen.

There are mandatory obligations with both the IBF & WBO that will make it difficult for the winner to hang onto all 3 belts. AJ has no guarantee heíll win the rematch, while no doubt Ruiz has had the carrot of fighting Wilder dangled in front of him by Al Haymon.

Lewis has been talking shit about Joshua for years though. There's some weird beef there but I think it's just because Lewis works for Haymon.

They're only 2 hours in front so I assume it would be around 8pm UK time.

For some reason I seem to remember Smith v Groves out there being a lot earlier than 8pm. But I may have just been watching the undercard.

Thatís exactly why it is.

Heís on the PBC payroll who promote Wilder.

He has been constantly criticising him throughout his career despite what he says. I tend to agree with AJ.

Wouldnít they just fight at Midnight as better for PPV purposes. Some of those old fights in Africa used to start at 4 in the morning for the sake of the main TV audiences.

Actually I remember being in Manchester Arena at 2am for Hatton v Tzsyu due to TV

He's half right, but the reason he got caught with a lucky punch is that he was swinging for the fences, punched himself out and got caught on his way in. Not the first time it's happened so he's being an idiot if he doesn't think there's something to work on.
