I see it's still the same scoreline with zero bookings or anything this half. I'm assuming Arsenal time wasted and rolled around for the whole half and West Ham said "Thanks for the belly tickle, guys"?

He has a half a point as previously you'd be likely to have 4 or 5 sub breaks with double subs and what not, whereas now it's generally 6 regardless. Weird thing to be so bothered about though, especially since it's been a thing for 4 years now.

Serious question. If you are so convinced the League is rigged, why bother watching it at all? It's not as if you seem to get one iota of enjoyment from it.

Their questionable approach to the gentlemanly pursuit of association football aside, Arsenal have been the best footballing side we've played this season in the PL. We probably could have beaten them, but you can't argue that the opposite wasn't also true. They are a good team and, on current form, are probably a bigger threat to us than City. Need to beat City tomorrow though.

Part of me misses "honest" football though. When did good teams feel that conning the ref & play-acting constantly as part of your identity was even necessary? It's completely cringe-worthy & I hope that we never go down that road.

Brentford won today without much involvement from Mbuemo and Wissa (he did score the first to be fair). A few of their more lightweight players who have been there for a while without doing much are starting to step up. Damsgaard was man of the match today despite the Schade hat trick, played some brilliant passes. Lewis-Potter was quite good as well playing at left back.

Brentford have scored more than us (until tomorrow anyway!). But have had a very easy set of home fixtures so far, played all the bottom six at home I think, maybe bar Everton.

I'm glad the West Ham manager pointed out the blatant foul for the first goal. Timber has no intention of playing the ball, just to push the west ham player out the way. You can say he should be stronger but he gets a shoulder in the back while in midair. I'm not sure how they get away with it every week, surely some voodoo or something because every other team would be pulled for such blatant, systematic cheating.

Just seen it, and yeah, they do that kind of thing all the time and keep getting away with it, when most other sides would be pulled up.

Most likely they're being coached to do it in a way that referees won't punish. Officials don't seem to have any interest in learning and adapting, which is why Vardy for example was able to spend multiple seasons winning penalties by sticking his leg between the legs of a defender, and Kane was able to win free kicks by throwing himself under a jumping player again and again.

Remember when Rodri came to England and said he was still learning about tactical fouling? I'd bet certain teams like Arsenal, Brentford and City spend time in training looking at how they can get away with fouls and dives, and it's worth the time investment because officials won't look back at games, recognise what's happening and change their approach, it sounds like they basically don't think about football at all between matches.
