Not 1 of the finals we’ve been in has been easy. I mean you don’t expect it to be but out of 7 so far you’d think at least 1 the cigars would be out on 75 mins

Another heart stopping night in store lads. I just want to relax, I’ve been eating my hands since August ! ;D

yea not sure about the long gap suiting them more  ???

will be a welcome break for both teams.
granted they may need it more but doesn't change the fact that our players will be getting the same amount of rest and recovery

also, they have been on shit form for months really. does the longer gap change that? or the fact its a final? if thats what they're counting on then i'm glad i'm sat in our corner having won a lot of games recently and a memory of THAT final last year to stew on and hopefully use to go into this one all guns blazing

Fuck what I would not give to be coasting at 60-70mins for a change. I can't remember the last time I watched a full game with no pressure on it throughout the 90 mins. Excluding Wolves since by 60mins there was nothing to play for.

Or just any of the finals we’ve been in generally in the last 20 years.

We beat the mancs in the Worthington Cup final in 02 or 03 pretty easily.

Not really mate!

We got a first half goal and then dealt with a barrage of United attacks before Owen finished them off. That was far from an easy afternoon!

Was thinking this the other day - anyone under the age of 40 would never have seen us be ahead in a European Cup Final, despite winning one in recent memory.

Sturridge put us ahead 1-0 vs. Sevilla in 2016

I really think it's not something that diehard should carry around with him, he needs to get in touch and get this message through to Klopp John Mcclane style.

Excuse my ignorance, but which kit are the lads going to wear? As the "guest" team, is it obligatory to use the away one?
I'd love to watch us play in red.

We are guest, but as Tottenham is home in white, we will wear red.

Great point that about us never having an easy final. We probably never will unfortunately  ;D

They've literally all been quite tight, Neal's late pen against Gladbach to finish them off, 78 and 81 being decided by a single goal, 84 and 05 on pens. Even in the UEFA cup, despite having it basically all tied up in 73, Gladbach fought back, and it was just as tight in 76 and 2001.

Perhaps Newcastle in 74 was as comfortable as we've ever got, but it did take us about an hour to score the first. I hope for our sanity and health we run away with it on June 1  ;D

Should probably just resign ourselves to the fact that despite being the better team it’ll no doubt be close and nervy. Any improvement on that is a bonus for our collective health.

1992 FA cup final against against Sunderland was fairly comfortable.
