Fuck it, let us just get Koulibaly to show our intent in this business.

Plays on the same side as VVD so it's a non-starter.

I'd like to see us sign a left-footed defender who can do a decent job at CB and LB, rather than having to go out and buy two separate players. Not sure who would fit that bill though?
Better than the Invincibles.
Better than Mourinho's Chelsea.
Better than the fabled Man Utd treble team.

I'm alright with that.

Can we install new legs on Danny Agger?

John Terry has just nipped into the Liverpool shop, bought a full kit (complete with shin pads) and is parading up and down Walton Breck Road.

Wont somebody like Bristol City defender Lloyd Kelly fit the bill. My guess we go for a young player that can do both and who will move to CB more not being dependent on Adam Lewis as the backup to Robertson.

Also isnt Virgil a right foot defender playing on the Left side, Im pretty sure he can play on the right just not sure when he done lately however, prefer not move him to the right though.

What about Munir from Barcelona. Contract ending soon. Was brilliant last season on loan. No chance given to him this year. Barca wants to get some money from him rather than losing him for free.

Me too, though I think we may prefer to go with a young player (say, at a Gomez 12-18 months ago level). The doubt though must be that if one of Lovren/Matip are shipped in the summer (and I can't see both wanting to stay), then the other + Gomez + youngster is a little fragile looking. Maybe a young CB/LB plus a veteran specialist CB on a free. The emergence of Gomez must make spending big on another CB feel somewhat wasteful.

We Are Liverpool.

His left foot is decent for a right footed CB. I've read somewhere in the past that for CBs (the vast majority of whom are right footed), the most important factor isn't footedness, but whether they have experience and familiarity switching sides. Lovren has played either side, but it seems Van Dijk may have been put on the left because that foot is decent, and never (or very rarely) moved from there.

Questions
Do we resign Milner or extend his contract before this happens?
Does this depend on Leeds' push for promotion?
Are Grabara and Kelleher realistically enough cover for Alisson?

Key Purchases Required
Back up keeper, prefereably someone with experience who would not impede the progress of Grabara and Kelleher.
Ryan Sessegnon or a player of his ilk, young left back with the ability to play further forward.
Timo Werner or a player of his ilk, able to cover and rotate in the front three or play as a striker in 4-2-3-1.
Someone to take up Lallana's place in the side. A combination of buying Timo Werner, the Ox returning and potentially a youth player stepping up may be enough to nullify this requirement?

No, Shaqiri can play there too so I think we'd be well covered there if we can add one more quality option in the summer.

I think Grujic is in with a shout of being in the first-team picture next season too.

Looks like we will be able to make do defensively until Gomez and Matip are back but I would still like us to sign a forward
this window.

We are one Sturridge injury away from having Shaqiri covering the entire frontline (that's if you don't count Origi as a quality back-up, or think he will be gone this month).

We all 100% back the current scouting/transfer system at the club, it has been brilliant. But I would hope Klopp and team see this current league position as a huge, game-changing opportunity for the club. Is there not a wide-forward or dribbling type player that we like longterm, available anywhere we could get in January?

The chance to rest Salah or a Mane (or both!) in certain games, or to get even an extra 3-5 goals this season, could be priceless for us?

I agree 100%. Losing Salah, Mane or Firmino for 4-5 matches without a similar-functioning replacement possessing 80% of their ability could be the difference in the title race.

And Joe Cole to supplement the midfield options.

I caught 30 seconds of a Star Sixes game on TV. England vs the rest of the world. Owen, Konchesky and Joe Cole were playing for England.

Using lack of popularity on the Kop as a selection criteria was novel.

If we keep playing 4-2-3-1 I'm inclined to agree.

Really can't see this happening, especially after all that shit with his agent saying he needs to leave to play. Reckon he'll be sold in the summer.
