Worth noting that gojng the Belgrade is like going to Celtic. People seemed to assume it would be easy and it never ever has been.

We should have donenfar better though.  Odd.

Thought we were hugely unlucky in that second half. Put ourselves in that position thanks to the first half though.

Fighting for survival in the Champions League now. Very disappointing.

Massive wake up call. The truth is, we've been riding our luck with sub-par performances this whole season. We needed a worldie from Sturridge to draw with Chelsea, were a Mahrez penalty away from losing to City, nearly collapsed in the end against Spurs, and were outplayed against Arsenal. You can only go so far by playing as turgid as we have done this season.

We're a shadow of the side that we saw last season.

If any of them have a shred of decency they’ll refund the fans who paid to go out there and watch that.

Not much else to say apart from Shaqiri should be starting every game and Lallana and Matip really, really shouldn’t.

Trent shouldnt be anywhere near this side at the moment either and neither Mane.

Watching that was like gouging my eyes out with a spoon!! Wat an awful display, an absolute shambles!! Could hardly pass past their 3 man midfield ffs, so so frustrating!!
When is our attack going to turn up??

Would be interested to see the stats of their passes to eachother compared to last season.

What has changed from last season, we don't resemble that team at all. We don't press anymore, the front three have lost all their skill, awareness, craft. The midfield have forgotten how to pass, close down space and support the front three.

Awful.

People need to stop viewing us based simply on our league position. We have been four levels below our best all season, which has been covered up by some solid defending. It is worrying. Stop covering it up.

Where has our style gone? There is no intensity, aggressive pressing or continued tenacity in most our games.

It's the Champions League. These are the top teams in Europe. We should always be playing our best XI unless we are comfortably secure.

The couple chances where Salah and Mane timidly tried to shoot pretty much has summed up our season. We are not playing like lions like last season.

End of the world, worst team ever, catastrophe etc etc. Grow the fuck up you bunch of ballbags. We've still got 2 games to go and qualification is still in our hands.

Basically means we have to go for broke now as  you say. I think this group will go to the last game now. That may suit us more.

I think the 4-3-3 is not working anymore for us. Without a runner like Ox, its far too easy to defend against. There's always 10 yards between the midfield and the front 3, no one playing between the lines. We've looked most potent in the season with the 4-2-3-1. We need to see that more often. That was still shocking though. The one time we've been comprehensively beaten. Never got into the game. Napoli and Chelsea were sucker punches. Draws would have been more fair there, but today we deserved nothing.

Actually, Lallana was one of the better players at the start until Sturridge missed two chances in a row, then they scored and the tables turned totally.

Was not expecting that...

Not wanting to sound like a prick but I said that if they go ahead then we will struggle. They were decent at Anfield and they know how to defend in a scrappy way.

Gutted. And not gutted in the way some of you will be ‘gutted’ to be revelling in how poor we were, but just genuinely gutted.

Got to hope this gives us the kick up the backside that we need, because needs to be sorted out quickly, starting with a big win and more importantly a convincing performance against Fulham.

If PSG beat Napoli then we are in big trouble.

Unleash the usual levels of hate

Hate? No.

Huge disappointment for me. It felt like the first half we were just expecting them to roll over and make it easy.

Worrying that we really didn't trouble their goal and equally worrying that our imability to find that last pass, more often chosing the poorer of the 2 options, to pass or shoot.

Can only hope it's a draw or a Napoli win tonight.

Thank God we've won at home and we are through on 4-2 goal difference.

Yes, even the away goal can’t get them through :D
Edit - it was Cardiff that got that goal - senior moment !

I’m honestly worried about getting to 40 points

Shocking attitude from the team and the wrong team selection from Klopp. Typical Liverpool we never make it easy for ourselves this group was always going to go down to the last day. Shaqiri needs to start the majority of our games going forward as we have fuck all creativity when he doesn't play.

The midfield has no creativity, if Keita and Fabinho don’t come good this season we aren’t winning anything. We also need Shaqiri (but I understand why he was left out)

Grim.

Should have bought Shaq with us, brought him on when we were losing and start a riot so the match got abandoned.

Starting to worry, could have played all night and would never have scored
