Come on Westwood! The number of times I’ve willed him to win a Major and he’s just fallen short. He’s in Darren Clarke 2011 territory of everyone thinking his time has been and gone, hope he keeps in the mix.

He's putted very well Westwood today - for once! Darren Clarke, how much timber has he put on? Looks like a sumo wrestler.

Rory currently joint 150th on the leader board.

Only 5 golfers in the field have a worse score currently.

These are getting worse!
"All the lads have been talking about is walking out in front of the Kop, with 40,000 singing 'You'll Never Walk Alone'," Collins told BBC Radio Solent. "All the money in the world couldn't buy that feeling," he added.

He really needs to wake up, perhaps he needs a Simon Cowell.

Great effort by Rory with a 65 but he left himself with way too much work to do yesterday.

Lowry was inspired. Still fancy Tommy. Just looks so much in control, still playing within himself I think. Watched him at a few holes today, I'm really impressed.  Weather is set to be benign tomorrow.... I expect fiendish pins.

I thought +2 was likely to make the cut when I watched earlier. What was the cut off? Good effort from Rory to get so close, damage done at the first (and last few!).

Pretty cool leaderboard by and large, good range of players and ages. Schauffele did a monster round today to get back into it, another tomorrow would be smashing. If not him, then Koepka.

He shit the bed on the first day -took himself out of the tournament, no sympathy at all.

Is he really that good? Or is it just hype, his driving is good but his putting is average and his wedge play is pathetic. I've seen him miss the green with a wedge after a booming drive on numerous occasions. When you look at all the stats and compare him with his peers, he really isn't anything special AND he's an arrogant fucker.

4 Majors. If he never wins another it’ll still make him one of the best European players we’ve had. I’m not a huge fan but winning 4 gives you the right to be called ‘that good’ I reckon. The fact he won them so early suggests he should have won/needs to win more but it’s an era when Theresa lot of very good players about.

You look at Brooks Koepka he's been dominating all the recent majors with a lot of very good players, I think Rory was expected to be at that level at this stage in his career.
