Great stuff
I believe the average spend will go up £5 ahead and that’s being very conservative. So that’s £185k. Then you have a new 25k who will spend £10 a head that’s £250k. This is without the massively enhanced hospitality areas.

Great News it just goes to show that if you act like a big Club and create an exciting project then top players will want to be part of it. Can't believe Trent has been at the Club for 14 years already, must be due a testimonial soon.
One thing does need to be said: in the post-Benitez era, there was media-led clamour (but also some politicking going on at the club) to make the club more English; the idea being that the club had lost the very essence of what it means to be ‘Liverpool’. Guillem Ballague 18/11/10

Read this morning that he could be fit to play today, which is surprising. Although the return of Gomez has now been put back until 4th February (previously 30th Jan), which is disappointing.

Another day, another excellent piece of news about a new contract. Well deserved... but we should probably get that Doherty chap from Wolves in for now until Trent’s ready

Alexander-Arnold: The fans' support means more than anything

Trent Alexander-Arnold has achieved things he describes as ‘dreams come true’ over the past 18 months – but there is one particular something that’s meant more than anything else to him in the last year and half.

The full-back became the latest player to commit his future to Liverpool by signing a fresh long-term contract with the club on Saturday morning, approximately 18 months on from penning his last deal.

Since breaking into the first-team set-up under Jürgen Klopp, Alexander-Arnold has made 67 senior appearances for his boyhood club, scoring four goals. He’s also become a fully-fledged England international and represented his country at the World Cup finals last summer.

However, asked to pick out his most cherished memory over the last couple of years, the 20-year-old’s choice isn’t something he’s achieved on the pitch.

“I would just say the main thing is the support from the fans that I’ve had that I probably didn’t expect to have,” he told Liverpoolfc.com after signing his new deal.

“I’ve always wanted it but never expected it. Just to have the support of the fans every single time I go out to play, to know that they’re behind you is something special.

“I don’t think they understand how much they do for the team and how much we all really need them. They’re turning up every single game – whether home, away, abroad, whether it’s freezing cold, they are still there and singing their hearts out for us, showing how much they love the club and how much they love us as players. It’s our chance to repay them with performances and the things we can do on the pitch.

“So, it’s probably the support from the fans that’s been the best thing for me.”

More great news and fully deserved - Trent is one of the best young players in the world and is developing incredibly well under Klopp.

That's our outstanding first-choice back four all tied down for the long-term.  Trent, Robertson and Gomez could all be mainstays at Liverpool for the next decade, potentially longer.

Brilliant news to add to the Robbo deal.

Think next up for a new contract (life-time expiry) is Kloppo himself.

Scouted aged 6 whilst on a half term football camp, and been with us ever since.

67 games already and only 20 years old - imagine how good he'll be at 25.

Fantastic news on the new contract! Well deserved for the lad.
Having that back 5 signed up until 2024 is fantastic business by the club, a real statement!

Now, my time here is generally spent formulating horrendous efforts for player songs, I don’t offer much else truth be told, so without further ado.......

To the tune of “Ah ga do do do”:

He is Trent, Trent, Trent
Alexander-Arnold,
He is Trent, Trent, Trent
Alexander-Arnold,
He can score, he can cross
He can stick it on a plate,
He is Trent, he is Trent
And he’s Andy Robbo’s mate!
