If he is only 50/50 then why would you start him as surely we need to wrap him up in cotton wool and try to squeeze 15 plus starts out of him so we can challenge for the CL and title.
We've been trying to manage his fitness over the last few months and it's still not helping though
Football without fans is nothing.

We've won 18 titles, 5 European Cups, 7 FA Cups, but today must be the greatest victory of all.

He's like Ledley King now. Probably better though.

Interesting little note in Mel Reddy’s latest article about the CB issue.

“When Liverpool do buy a centre-back, it will be their intention that the player ultimately replaces Matip”

I think that's a well known assertion to be honest.

I would have thought our next CB is just an addition to Matip. We need 4 so does mean two CBs in the summer?

We were happy with Fab being 4th choice so we'd probably be content with going into next season with 3 dedicated CBs. That being said, I don't see us actively selling Matip unless we get an offer, so we'd probably have 4 center backs next season.

I took that to mean replacing Matip in actually being good and frequently available.

With two players coming back from long term knee injuries that's another season of Fabinho at the back then.

Well no...not literally
Trent is pretty poor at free kicks. Said it for a long time. One decent free kick a few years ago and the commentators think he's Beckham

Klopp says in his presser that Matip is touch and go. Needs to see whether he can train today and tomorrow.

Not ruled out yet so that’s good I guess.

Was it Williams and Fab against Spurs?

Kane & Son would both get in the United team and they were kept relatively quiet apart from the Son goal.

True, but this game is even bigger than that one, and our form such that getting a result is even more important. Personally I'd be surprised if he doesn't play.
