I'm the same with Tiffany Haddish. She just plays the same character regardless of the role every movie I've seen her in

That film looks bad - like if Widows was much dumber and had far more mob cliches in it - but the source material probably wasn't up to much either so there you go.

Due to an accounting fuck up wasn't it and nothing to do with the quality of the show itself?

It seems it did go over budget, getting cut to 10 episodes from the planned 13. But ATT took over WB, so I think the DC streaming platform is fucked.

Yeah apparently that accounting thing was some weirdo making up weird stuff, and the correct answer is WB crunched the numbers and decided it wasn't worth a further investment.

Someone (somewhere) said it could be a simple as their projections for things like trailer views on YouTube were below expectations, and it was expensive and that was that.

It's been confirmed that Kevin Conroy will play Bruce Wayne (Batman?) in an ArrowVerse episode called "Crisis on Infinite Earths".

I hope that is a good episode.

They have a load of actors. Brandon Routh has as back as Superman, Burt Ward as Dick Grayson.

Love how much expression he puts into his mouth - you can tell he's an old hand at voice acting the part. :)

Heard suggestions he could take the Bruce Wayne mantel for a live action Batman Beyond.  I'd fucking watch that!

I’m really looking forward to this, but it’s gonna be weird to have a Joker movie that has no connection to Batman.

I'm not sure about that I really think that the Joker kills his parents in the film and the Joker put a smile on the young kid's face in the first teaser trailer. A total guess of course

Also read on Twitter they are going to make a 2nd film.

There's no in between meh feeling about this film

It's either going to bomb worse than any DC film has so far and kill off any chance of ever seeing a credible DC franchise for decades to come

Or

It'll be the best interpretation of the Joker ever put on film and will rival that of Heath Ledger's performance, will put DC back on track and kickstart a true renaissance period for them

In fact I will be more annoyed if this is a meh film. If it bombs then who cares. DC won't count this under the Snyder-verse. I really want to see an adaptation of Killing Joke eventually and this could be the birth of that kind of run

It will be neither.  For this to happen it would have to be either worse than Suicide Squad or better than Dark Knight Rises.  Neither of which is possible.

It will be a great, standalone interpretation of one of the greatest comic villains in history, and that's purely how it should be taken.  It's not my cup of tea but I can certainly appreciate where they are taking the concept.

Suicide Squad was awful but it didn't bomb. It would be middle of the pack for Marvel, ahead of 2/3 of the Iron Mans amongst others.

It can't be that bad, but I don't think it's doing more than the $325m Suicide Squad did domestically. Deadpool did $363m and Deadpool 2 did $324m and I think Joker will do $300m or just under.

Of course Suicide Squad did big business abroad, and I'd be amazed if Joker did that.

It seems to be getting really good reviews so far apart from a couple and a lot of Oscar buzz around the film.

Joker is going to be really good provided you don't expect it to be taken from the comics canon (and its hard to see where it goes. Batman rebooted?)

I see at the Venice Film Festival one of cinema’s greatest villains won an award.

So did Joker.

He keeps sending casting agents his performance in Spartacus. He was great in that and has been bad in everything else. Jack Reacher was a decent role for him to be fair.
