Their CL No Filter series is really effing great.  Does help when we get the right result though.

I believe the average spend will go up £5 ahead and thatís being very conservative. So thatís £185k. Then you have a new 25k who will spend £10 a head thatís £250k. This is without the massively enhanced hospitality areas.

Getting fed up with these 1730 BT Sport kick off times for home matches, a real pain for me with my disabled son and makes it a really long day with going to the match.

I've been pretty impressed with BT Sport's coverage this season. For Premier League games and the European games.

It's less sensationalist then Sky and more insightful than what you would get on MotD for example. Partly because of the pundits they have on but mainly because of the anchor/host. Gary Lineker is good on the European shows and is pretty much the best around at that type of thing for football in the UK. I've been impressed with Jake Humphrey's though. More so he handling of the Saturday thing they do after the game when they talk through a wider range of subjects around football. Also think the pundits have been good and open on this. Owen Hargreaves and Martin Keown in particular were good on this -  Owen Hargreaves bit on injuries and giving up the game was an excellent insight. I actually think Lampard, Ferdinand and Gerrard are decent enough pundits also.
I think Jookie might just be the best fisherman on this thread.

We can't have these intellectual, "expert" continental types telling us what's what on our own football television programmes. With their little tiny gay fancy-dan coffees and workshy layabout afternoon naps and fruity cheek-kissing breakfasts.

We need proper stodgy meat & potatoes punditry across the board; the appreciation of delicate, subtle flavour is for pretentious wimps, who would hang for cultural treason if there were any justice. No wonder Empire crumbled, with these namby-pambies everywhere.

Yep, they havenít even got a row Z in some of those continental stadia

I think their coverage is excellent lately also. I probably think too much about football coverage, being a Liverpool fan in Ireland means that the vast, vast majority of my football watching experience is done through television. In GAA I go to pretty much all the Dublin games so rarely watch the coverage unless it's a big win then I might watch it back for the pure pleasure. So in that way I can understand why a match going Liverpool fan might not care what BT or Sky are saying.

BT though seem to not take themselves too seriously. They don't constantly try and fit in catchphrases like "It's Liiiiiiiive" and when there is something they're trying to shoe horn in there is always a sense of self awareness from the likes of Lineker and Humphreys.

Premier League Tonight is usually a good hour of football chat, sometimes straying away from the day's football action and can deliver some really good insights. I find it's best when it's Ferdinand, Lampard and one other, sometimes Gerrard.

After the first leg of the Champions League quarter final I watched the RTE analysis and recorded BT's. The difference was amazing. RTE was all about City, all about Guardiola, barely anything about the victors that night. Whereas BT mentioned both and compared both, praised Liverpool and criticized City. I think there was one thing that summed up the difference, a small but significant one for me. RTE kept saying that City had no tempo, no passion, no desire but on the other hand BT said that City couldn't match Liverpool's tempo, passion and desire.

It's disappointing that the European Football Show was taken off the air but to be honest Laurens, Honigstein and Horncastle are on so many podcasts I listen to that I don't feel I'm missing it as much as I thought I would and the matches are still on there.

I think the co-commentators for the European football are also rather good. Don Hutchinson and Jim Beglin always do a good job. Maybe it's because I've no vested interest in the matches that I don't nit pick on things they say and it's very unlikely for them to really have a bias for or against another team but the analysis is usually balanced and without hysteria. I also enjoy when usually Premier League based commentators and co-commentators do European games because it gives them a taste of something else. Don Hutchinson was on the Friday Night Social on 5Live tonight and knew much more about Roma than anyone else there because of his commentary work.

Anyways, I get BT for free with my TV package and I'm delighted I do. Sure Sky has more games but I'd keep BT if offered a swap.

No more Ligue 1 or Serie A on BT Sport this season...

Eleven Sport will be showing them instead - http://elevensports.com/ & https://twitter.com/ElevenSportsHQ & https://www.facebook.com/ElevenSportsHQ/

BT are also no longer showing Brazilian league games either. The Brazil Cup games are on FreeSports - https://www.freesports.tv/ & https://twitter.com/freesportsuk

Even the Dutch league games will be on Eleven Sports as well.

Aye, just too expensive to watch footy these days.

No doubt there'll be free dodgy streams available for all (or +90%) the matches ;)

Just to watch all the PL matches that are on TV means subbing to Sky, BT and Amazon Prime. Intrigued by this Eleven channel, but don't watch nearly enough foreign football these days to justify paying for it.

Would be nice if a balance could be found between a monopoly and the spread we have now, its gone way too far considering that none of them are free to air.

I know what you mean - just too many to keep tabs on.

Thankfully, FreeSports is completely free (no subscription at all) - it should just appear as BBC1, ITV or Channel 4 etc does.

Freeview - Ch 95, FreeSat - Ch 252, Sky - Ch 422, Virgin - Ch 130, BT tv - Ch 95, TalkTalk tv - Ch 95, & 'TV Player'

https://twitter.com/FreeSportsUK & https://www.freesports.tv/ (with a TV guide :))

This is a great site for keeping tabs on when all the live footy will be on UK tv - https://www.live-footballontv.com/

and a combination of https://www.flashscores.co.uk/ & http://www.livesoccertv.com/ for many games are live on TV all around the world - that you may be able to find on streams or IPTV etc... :)

It does seem like this will be online only, with no traditional tv coverage.  Facebook are going to stream 1 european game from Eleven sports free every week.

My problem with BT was I just couldnt access it. I'd be happy to pay for it like I pay for NowTV, because I'm not a BT or EE customer and dont have sky I couldn't watch it. In the end managed to borrow someones login so got there in the end.

Until the current restrictions on UK broadcasting are lifted and I can legitimately watch all LFC matches, then I won't be signing up to any of these packages, so it doesn't matter how many or how few there are.

Looking to switch from Sky to BT TV. Seems like the cheapest way to (legally) watch all Liverpool games.

Anyone got BT TV who can give me some general feedback on what it's like? Picture quality, reliability etc? I'm a little worried that it streams the sport channels, that Origi goal wouldn't be the same with a buffering symbol.

More reliable than sky's crappy desktop app, usually very good quality, not much buffering (that i can remember) you'll lose it of course every now and again but that's the internet for you. Just normal website site and select to watch whichever channel game is on, i don't mind it although still paying too much just like Sky

I'm actually wondering when Netflix decides to fuck Sky and BT by blowing them out of the water for the rights.

The BT app/website is soooo much more reliable than the Sky Go app.

I use both regularly, both on my iPad and Mac. Use the BT app on my iPad and the website on my iPad (or Mac/missus laptop connected to the TV) and it always works great.

Sky on the other hand now force you to use their shitty Sky Go app that constantly crashes and freezes - I actually ended up finding an illegal stream the other day because it was better than watching it via the app.
