So! we have another Game Of Thrones in development! Have to say I'm surprised a bit that's it's another Targaryen themed show. I thought maybe they would so something different?

Henry Cavill for Aegon?  ;D

There's another 'Thrones' project in development, this time from writer Mattson Tomlin.

There is just no way  he finishes the books now and how many of these spin offs does anybody want? It's wearing a bit thin for me now.

Sophie Rundle, she's done some good series and is always an interesting actress to watch.
She was easily the best thing about After The Flood (in my clearly minority view)

Haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate

It was decent, nice little twist at the end, set up for a 2nd series perhaps.

Moving on to Criminal Record now

It passed my "I got through all 6 episodes" test.  Won't be winning any BAFTA's but it was pretty alright.

yep, decent ending and leaves it open for a second serious

Go on, give them a second series, you shits.

Thought the same. Wasn't going to watch it as I hate the film, but I love Donald Glover / Childish Gambino so gave it a go and was pleasantly surprised. Different premise to the film and it works well.

Not TV per se but just seen a bit of the old Ralphy Fienes as Macbeth. And someone from Game of Thrones as his wife. And best of all, Dave Coaches from Gavin and Stacey as Banquo. Very highbrow by my usual standards.

And yea Kenny, I watched all the Acts in the correct order.

Excellent news.

Also double excellent is the show's Sub Reddit

Majority of people who post there watch an episode and complain about it, it's fabulous reading, they can't stop watching it. :D

I saw Fiennes in a fantastic play called 'Straight Line Crazy' at the Bridge Theatre in London in 2022. Blows my mind seeing these elite actors up close rolling through streams of dialogue with minimal breaks.

I went to see this in Liverpool before Christmas. It was pretty good, but I am way more excited about seeing Les Dennis as Malvolio, in 12th Night at the Shakespeare North in Prescot.

I think you appreciate just how skilled they are when you see them up close. I did not realise how good Jude Law is, until I saw him doing Hamlet from the stalls.

Josh Brolin mentioned in an interview that season 2 of Outer Range is out in May.

He's directed an episode as well.

I loved season 1.

I'm crawling my way through True Detective: Night Country and my interest started to wane between episode 2 and 3. I'm up to date now but it feels like I'm only watching it get it done with. I must have been looking at my phone during some episodes because I am lost. There's too much going on and I'm losing track of who's who. It's probably not helping if I'm not that interested in it. It's not a patch on Seasons 1 and 3.

Brilliant news! I had completely forgotten about this show. Hopefully Imogen Potts comes back too. Will need a recap though as again I'm sure it's been like 2 years since the first season. I know there's been strikes but it seems like we have to wait so much longer now between seasons, but I guess the production and stuff is a lot more now compared to years ago.

You’re not alone. It’s turned into a drag and parts of it are needlessly complicated. Or rather, what I suspect may have happened is that I’ve missed a few lines of dialogue through drifting off because of the boredom and am now out of the loop.

Also, because of the premise of the show (permanent darkness), every episode if not every scene, feels the same.

The Way' preview: Michael Sheen's vision of a workers' uprising in Port Talbot is the most revealing political drama shown on prime-time television in 40 years

Its already winding the Tories up and it hasn't been shown yet

Just watched the first 2 episodes of Breathtaking on ITVX, about what CoVid was like on the frontline in a hospital.

It's a really tough watch, but definitely worth it. It's dramatised so not based on an actual hospital or real medical professionals but you can imagine it's exactly what was going on at the time.

One word of warning, you'll be calling Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson and Twat Hancock all the c*nts going
However if something serious happens to them I will eat my own cock.

Got through one episode of series one, its shite

To be honest Kendo.  It was the bits with Mclure in that grated on me.    She must have failed to save dozens of people throughout the series.  I would honestly send out Paul Merson after closing time to diffuse a bomb with more confidence.

I reckon the writers did a few Wiki and Google searches on how the Bomb Squad deal with certain IED's.  Then thought... that'll do, let's go film a show.

Honestly, if the MET police and Counter Terrorism actually organized themselves for a real-life terrorist campaign, as they were portrayed to do on Trigger Point, we would be in deep, DEEP trouble

I'm surprised MI5 and Counter Terrorism are not suing ITV over it.

Season 2 Spoiler

Spoiler
The domestic terror cell was nothing but super-sophisticated, allusive, and clever throughout the first 5.5 episodes. Virtually undetectable and meticulously thorough.  Then... for the final half hour, they turn into complete and utter amateurs
