Couple of interesting british raiders over in Ireland for the big handicap,2.30l
Skippers brig ,3rd to poquelin reads well since that has come out and won the A.P Gold cup.Needs to be fully wound up and to jump well in this race.Proven on heavy ground.10s ew

Stormin exit, tipped up by timeform.nice weight, won couple of good handicaps last season..25s ew
Ground a worry

Follow the plan could go well at a huge price in a race with many chances

Will be backing South Africa heavily. They can be got at 2.24 on Betfair currently.

Their first innings was a temporary aberration and with the form of Amla and Kallis, I don't see them having too much trouble chasing down 300 to win the Test match, especially with 2 days remaining.

Although this didn't win, there was ample opportunity for trading amongst the varying bookies if you kept an eye on it. Bought India at 13/8 when SA were cruising. So small profit made. Satisfying as it could have gone either way in a tense finale.

he'll come up against barney in the quaters who'll be hard beat but reproduce that form and hes unstoppable. 4/1 with most bookies,

Having a gamble on the rugby, Scarlets-Dragons, surely a team who are 1.20 to win shouldn't be 2.37 to win both halves?

PGA Tournament of Champions. First event of the PGA tour.

Players who kept their hand in over the winter and played in Australia or South Africa tend to do well in this tournament.

Oglivy  had a win and a second in Australia in December. Els had a win in South Africa a couple of weeks ago.

Both ex winners of this tournament with Oglivy defending champion.

Not sure on the strength of the race that. I had Remember Now done as a horse to pick up a decent Novice Handicap Hurdle in the Spring as the last two outings spanked of a big yard getting a horse a reasonable mark to pick up one of those with. The run today showed there's ability there and it'll be interesting to see what mark he gets.

2011 US PGA Tour starts tomorrow with the Hyundai Tournament of champions.

Pretty good field as far as i can see but the 100-1 on offer at Skybet for Heath Slocum stands out for me.

Darren Clarke and Lee Slattery in the African Open.

Had a nice 7/1 double on this the other day, so going to give it a go again tonight.

Winstanley and Dekker to throw most 180's in their matches tonight. Pays a shade over 2/1. Winstanley is only improving the tournament, and although Bunting will throw some 180's tonight, I see Winstanley throwing more, in the circumstances.

Dekker is cack, however, Thompson cannot throw a 180 if it was to save his burning children.

They're the plays. I can't really pick the winners tonight, although my gut feeling says Bunting and Thompson if you were bored and fancied a double on that.

Very long shot, but has anyone seen anything of Soderling this week?

Caught Stepankek's last two games, and he looks to be in very, very good form. Quite tempted to have a lay of Soderling 2-0.

If you'd reversed these picks, you'd have made a fortune. Very odd night of darts that. No point in going in to detail.

Harlequins -6 on the handicap against Wasps today. 10/11 generally available.

In the cricket, Pakistan will look to build a good lead against New Zealand in Hamilton. With only 4 down, they're only just shy of NZ's first innings score. Tanvir Ahmed did well in the first innings, and NZ's batting looks fragile.

10/11 looks like a good price, and will only fall when they go past NZ so certainly one to take if you're a trader.

Federer's was good if you wanted a quickish return on your investment. It's Soderling's to lose imo but I'd rather wait til Aus Open than get involved.

I was pleasantly surprised by this when I woke this morning

Decided to lay the draw @ 3.2 yesterday... couldn't believe it when I found out Pakistan had won with 2 days to spare :)

Made a bit of money laying the draw in the last 2 ashes tests as well :)
I wish I'd be a bit more spontaneous. Sometimes I feel like going out, stealing a traffic cone, putting it on my head and saying, "Look at me, I'm a giant witch."

I'd side with del Potro tonight. Be a tight game with few service breaks and I think del Potro's quality will see him through the latter stages of the sets when things get close. I reckon he'll win it in straight sets with one of them being a tiebreaker.

Dolgo is one to watch this year. He had a good end to the year last year and should start to become a more regular feature in the latter stages of the 250 level tournaments. Golubev's been noted for me as well.

Only thing I like tonight is Kohlschreiber at 4/9. He wasn't great in the first set against Berlocq but soon romped home once he got into his stride and his slow start in that match is probably the reason why we're getting 4/9 here. He's a former winner in Auckland as well so he's got previous. Granollers does all his work on clay and has a terrible record on hard courts at ATP level. This should be a breeze.

Looks pretty gash judging by the stats. Marked down as one to oppose in the early stages of the AO.

Kohlschreiber wasn't at his best but got the job done and I'll invest in Nalbandian tonight @ 4/7 against Isner. Pretty poor match up for Isner and if Nalbandian gets the ball in play then big John is in a heap of trouble as he simply won't be able to rally with him. Haase had Isner beaten yesterday but somehow let him slip through his clutches but Bandy won't let the same chance slip tonight and I think 4/7 is a great price.
