FA Cup 5th Round Chelsea(a)
« on: February 4, 2020, 10:35:32 pm »
Whats the likely allocation here, are we gonna get the full shed end upper and lower like 2012 or only half the upper like 2015 league cup ties.
Distinctly remember Manchester United playing there in the league cup this season to a load of cordoned off seats in the shed end.

Will be the whole end minus a few seats for segregation. Should get about 5500. What do people think the sales criteria will be?

Any idea why the next round is showing as being played midweek? FA Cup is always a weekend job isn't it.

To “Ease” fixture congestion by freeing another weekend for league games, basically Klopp and Pep begging the FA for the winter break

No chance whatsoever, it will probably be those with Wolves and West Ham in the guaranteed sale and then those with West Ham only in the 2nd sale.

Stamford Bridge cup allocations:

League Cup 2011, 5567.
League Cup 2015, 4004.
Mancs League Cup 2019, 4009.

So looking like we will just get the 4,000.

No we won't, the League Cup is 10% but was 15% back in 2011.

Chelsea gave Sheff Weds 5,900 last season. But this trend of not giving the away team the full 15% allocation seems to be continuing unless the home team cant sell out. And everyone will sell out against us.

Our last 5 cup allocations:
Shrewsbury 1684
Wolves 4774
Plymouth 2462
West Ham 5990
Exeter 1347.

So if it's the 4000 allocation it will go on, Shrewsbury and Wolves guaranteed and one of those games for the remaining.
If it's full shed end it will bring West Ham into play.

Yep so will sell out on those with just West Ham.

They may not give us the full 15% but why would they only give us 10%?

So then why did they give the Mancs the full 10% in the LC this season? Anyway, I reckon that we'll get around 5.5K...will find out for certain soon enough though.

Hoping that this is guaranteed to those that went to Wolves and West Ham. I can't imagine that they'll use Shrewsbury due to the much lower numbers but who knows with our TO?

Will be around 6000.  Shed End capacity is 6800 so you can knock it down to 6000 with segregation.

They'll probably use all 3 with 2 needed garuanteed, then 1 2nd sale with a potential all STH sale afterwards.

Whenever it is, I'd say it's a high chance of Tuesday. I may be wrong but I think there are TV games Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and you'd say the most likely tv fixtures are:

Sheffield Wednesday v City
Derby v United
Chelsea v Liverpool

So if we say one is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and we won't be Thursday cos we have Bournemouth Saturday, and United and City won't be Tuesday cos they play on the preceding Sunday that leaves us very likely to be Tuesday. But they could throw a spanner in the works and pick Pompey v Arsenal I suppose which would make most of this null void, bar the Thursday bit.

Ok. They'll be showing 2 games on telly at the same time then if so. Still doesn't mean we can play Thursday or United or City can play Tuesday though.
